After being lucky enough to test out a variety of bikes from local riders on a group day out I finally bought an NS Define 130.
Im looking forward to being able to drive the bike to bike parks, and not worry about battery life. My legs will hate me initially.
Ride was crap. Couldn’t jump, had no confidence in the corners, couldn’t bring myself to get the arse end out. Only rode 16 miles (Eco, never use anything else now) and didn’t enjoy it.
Had a go on a Whyte T130, was crazy light and all over the place. Couldn’t get the thing to grip. It was a ton of fun but I think I’d need to understand tyres and get the thing set up by somebody who knows what they are doing. The rear was bouncing around like my jump bike.
Wel that depends how hard I go on certain trails. Sometimes I have no travel left. But that’s on a 24kg bike just bombing through things rather than picking my way around or hopping over them. Which is where I want to get to.
my ebike has 150 and my friends keep saying to go to 170 but I don’t...
I’ve decided to buy a full sus non ebike. Something to go on the roof of the car so I can drive further afield. And also to help my fitness and weight loss goals.
I found myself looking at all sorts of enduro bikes, but then this morning I decided to re think everything to do with suspension...
Yeah they feel really odd. Tiny and they bounce about.
Did shit jumping tonight. Think I was tired. No air sometimes epic air other times. Landing bad no consistency. And my ability to manual has gone nowhere.
Ordered a Canyon Spectral AL6. So now the ebike is outnumbered by normal bikes.
I find the ebike too easy to ride. I’ll keep it for when I want to venture to hilly places but otherwise it will stay hanging off the wall.
So. Update on the DJ bike. It’s still great. I am now getting much more air time than I was before, off the bay jump I shared in a video here Im now clearing 3ft of height. And landing smooth. I’m ready to start learning to get the rear end moving about whilst in the air. I can’t manual yet but...
Have just emailed you @Bearing Man so I can put an order in. My poor motor gets abused - I see deep mud and water and just think sod it.
When the rains come the thing will get a service.

You have to feed horses and they shit everywhere.
Horses attract flies.
Horse attire makes you look like a nob.
You have to buy your horse a house with land.
Horses can’t jump as well.

Thanks. I’ll be doing two lines, for different size bikes. Then the transition into the jump lines. A third jump line purely for beginners will come off the other side.
Will post a plan for critique once the survey comes back.
