Hey @Rob Rides EMTB , did the replacement help?
I'm wondering why this battery latch actually cracked, and I'm wondering if that was not due to the fact that it actually holds the whole weight of a battery.
In my case, the upper connector is also loose and rattling.
As of now, my bike is...
Yup, there is a battery damper (foam sticker) already installed from the factory.
I think it's the piece the damper is attached to (the battery connector housing) that is loose.
I'm almost certain that the problem is the loose (or broken?) connector in the frame.
Mine rattles, and I see it has some play.
The problem is that in order to fix it, one would have to take all the cables out, which means dropping the motor first to disconnect all the wiring. I'm not sure how...
So do they fit on the back without modifications? Cause I'm confused while those Hope rotors are laying in my shopping basket :)
Btw, have you tried 200 or 203mm at the back?
Hey @Orbea QC, have you tried to fit a 200-mm Hope rotor on the back of the Strive:ON?
I was about to order those, but now that I've read about the clearance issues, I'm not so sure about it anymore.
I investigated this one several times, and it's securely clamped, although I agree it's sometimes tricky to secure it.
As of now, my primary suspect is the battery connector, and I am wondering if there are any adjustment bolts that may be simply loose.
In mine Canyon Strive:ON it happened to be a connection issue between the battery and the connector in the downtube.
The battery slides into downtube and I discovered it has some play when locked. Check if you don't have a similar issue :)
I’m still waiting for canyon to reply, it’s over a week without any message.
In the meantime I investigated battery connector inside the frame and I see it has some play. Currently that’s my primary suspect for engine cut-offs and rattle.
Does anyone know how that connector looks like, how...
I just investigated the chat option on the Canyon website. It turns out that the chat is offline when I select the location Poland (w/ language English). When changed to the UK, the chat is available.
I noticed I had a little play in the battery; when fully latched, I could still move it slightly into the frame when the bike was standing on the wheels.
I reinstalled the battery today and added a bit of rubber from an old tube under the latch to cancel the play. It sort of worked for the short...
This is a fork of the original thread where we talk specifically about problems with the new Strive:ON.
Copying my original post here:
Has anyone else had problems with the battery cutting off and the whole system shutting down?
For me, it started two days ago, and yesterday it just kept...
Yup, already tried that - no luck :/
Today I got an email that they're experiencing a high volume of support cases and I should expect a longer response time.
@Herder000 any updates on this one? After my last ride, I reported the issue to Canyon, and I'm still waiting for a reply.
It takes forever for them to reply, and I'm getting frustrated by the bad customer support.
When I arrived from the last trip, the motor shut down, and I couldn't start it...
I have fitted the Tubolight EVO HD inserts to mine, and they work great!
Installing was extremely easy — way easier than fitting PTN inserts to my gravel bike :)
I did one modification, though, and I added some holes to the insert so that the below-insert and above-insert chambers could equalize...
Mine started the same way, with brief cut-offs for a split second, and now it would turn off completely while riding.
In the beginning, it was noticeable only in turbo mode.
Has anyone else had problems with the battery cutting off and the whole system shutting down?
For me, it started two days ago, and yesterday it just kept switching off.
Sometimes it would turn on for a brief moment and then die after that.
On other occasions, it doesn't even power up and shuts...
Well, I was hoping they'd announce it at the recent event, but unfortunately that did not happen.
I added a comment about missing Garmin integration to their post to bring this to Bosch's attention, but I feel they don't see how important this may be for the users.
Maybe some more comments or...
Hi folks, hope you're enjoying your Strive:ONs 🤩
Just remember to check if your cranks are tightened properly ‼️
The left crank on mine just came loose today on the trail; fortunately, I caught it early and tightened it.
It turned out that the drive-side crank was also loose.
I contacted...
