The M820 is not a serial motor. It is canbus and the old serial devices will not work.

ICR Headsets for the SZZS-specific CEF50 build

You are correct and you have to cut the opening bigger for the larger cable. Remember the CEF headset is not the same as the LEC930, they are not compatible.

I don't think that will work. It is a serial cable. I think the only thing that works is a bluetooth connection to a handlebar device like the 245v3.

It may not be possible. Carbon fiber is a mild conductor and the frame may act as a shield block the bluetooth signal.

    Solar panel battery charging.

Be aware that there is a big difference in panels. The older monocrystaline is very subject to shadows which, depending on the design, can block all the output of the panel. The newer CIGS panel is much less subject to shading and produces more in poor light conditions. They are also backed by a...

In this thread I posted a picture with measurements of all the cranks I had. The fun part is finding it.

I started out with Miranda carbon which I really like but they are 170 and could not find shorter. I ended up with FSA CK from ebay 155 for only $35 but that seller is out now. Not light but durable. But they should be around elsewhere.

Best way to transport E bikes without lifting

We started with 80lbs ebikes and hated them. They worked well but managing the weight turned out to just not be practical. My wife, who has been riding mountain bikes for decades, worried about crashing and not being able to get out from under the bike. So I highly recommend a light bike...

    Bafang m820

I doubt seriously that the Bafang motors are all the same and it is just firmware. The relationship between rpm and kv is linear. So if you had a constant kv, due to the same motor, a 36v motor would run 36/48=.75 or 25% slower. You can't change that in firmware.

I noticed Firon is now selling the CEF50 under his brand name. Seems like a very small player tho.

    CEF50 External battery build

Yes the motor is not designed to be used in boost except for short steep climbs. Bafang warns against using it for continuous boost riding and 700whr or larger batteries designed to enable this type of riding. Just not the right motor.

    CEF50 External battery build

yep. If you are riding for two hours after work every day the 360whr is fine and lighter. if you want to do epic all day rides you need more juice.

    CEF50 External battery build

All you are going to do is charge the main battery from the external, slowly, from the external battery. Not going to help much in a ride. For a 360whr 36v battery 360/36= 10amps 10/2=5 hours or more considering the external battery voltage will drop and as soon as it is lower that the main...
