My Personal location beacon and survival bag are permanently in the rucksack now . Three people I cycle with are recovering from crashes in recent weeks , slippery roots .Nothing major but I don't fancy two months with no cycling.

I went for the fatbar V2 in black as I fancied the 40 mm rise 800mm wide. All out in the lite but at 50 gramms heavier that's not as heavy as my sandwich. Cheers £69 freepost as weel
First snow on Corriehabbie very cold on top. Plenty clothes but it takes a while to get used to the cold as lts been a balmy 14 for a few days. Shooting party I met must have been in Glenfiddoch Lodge ruin as the fire was still on when I came past.
Paramo is big with the mountain walking people . Very waterproof and I notice if we stop for lunch me with a goretex jacket would need to put a layer on for warmth , paramo wearers don't. It may be too warm for me as I'm a heavy lad but my two friends wear them on bike.
When you have a new goretex jacket the water runs off it but this doesn't last I find. Used to say they were good for about 7 washes. I still have every one I bought 5 first was 1986 none are as good as when they were new they get saturated. My friends swear by Paramo but they would get too...
