I cut my bars to 770 and they are Deity 50mm riser bars.
Firstly most grips add 10mm per side to bar width so a nominal 800mm bar with grips fitted will likely measure 820! I mostly ride forest trails and very wide bars are restrictive when doing slalom through tree lined trails.
I think in...
Well....first principles...an electric motor cannot run without a supplied electric current. So if indeed it was the motor making the noise even with the battery removed it must have been getting voltage from somewhere....perhaps a capacitor which would be part of the pcb in the motor. The only...
The "waist" I am referring to here is that part of your body just above your hips which may or may not be smaller than your hips!!
I always wear UA shorts as a first layer ....obviously with a waist band. If I then wear armoured shorts and trail shorts that makes 3 items all with waistbands...
No...........a LBS service does not do anything to the motor. As above it is a sealed unit. There is no such thing as a motor service except if you take it to a repair centre after the warranty has expired.
The only meaningfull range figure is how much battery is used by a specific rider on a specific bike riding that rider's typical local trails in typical weather conditions!! I have never understood why folk describe range in terms of climb! I ride very often 2 forest areas. Both consist a...
not sure a bout that one but the earliest car phones and "mobile" phones were manual...ie you picked up the handset and waited for an operator to answer and that operator would connect to another number....bit like being an extension on an old switchboard system :D
I sold and used some of the first ever car phones and "mobile phones" in the UK ......they were the size and weight of 2 house bricks!!. I have used cell phones for decades , the earliest ones had an extendible aerial and querty keyboard. They have their uses but life is still possible when it...
not if you end up with a bricked bike because the pin code does not work for whatever reason. No way I want any functionality dependant on a smart phone either ta!
Just to add more!
You cannot tell if a thread is damaged just by looking at it. Over torque and a bolt rattling loose can spread the thread.
Checking thread locked bolts is fine but if the bolt is disturbed the thread lock seal will no longer be effective.
An opposing view!! Not concerned about weight, no interest in fancy electronics, don't use more than half capacity on existing battery capacity and the Bosch cx provides excellent tuneable power delivery. How a bike rides is the defining factor for me together with how well it is engineered. So...
Check status in the axs app first. It will give the status of the mech and pod batteries.
With battery removed check that the contact pins in the mech are moving freely
I changed from 165 to 155 on a bike I used to have. By the time I did that I had learnt to avoid pedal strikes but wanted to reduce how much the low bb restricted my flow. There were 2 things things I noticed most with the shorter cranks. Firstly they made it possible to continue full pedal...
Heck! Good news but not good being given the wrong diagnosis initially ! Makes me wonder whether the OP had some general tests like blood pressure, urine and faeces tests before being referred to a ENT specialist.
go private to get your health issues resolved. My wife became practically crippled with hip problems...got nowhere with the NHS..........went private.........examined, xrayed, diagnosed, operated ( titanium hip replacement) all within 2 weeks! She now rides both bikes and horses..good as new...
