    Should I Get Shorter Cranks?

rider position on the bike and shock set up possibly have more impact on BB height/pedal clearance that the 10mm gained from going 165mm to 155mm?

Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

Overrun can be implemented by firmware. Note how recently that facility was added to the Shimano EP801 motor by a firmware update. I assume it can also happen if the main sprag bearing is mechanically slow to release or if the torque sensor is wrongly calibrated. Did the dealer try re flashing...

Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

Mmmm....curious. You say the motor was opened by Specialized, Normally a dealer has no authority to open a motor so when did that happen and why. I assume the motor was not fitted with any derestriction device???

Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

Some overrun is normal especially in turbo....3 seconds sounds a bit excessive however. So has your local dealer refused warranty replacement? What was the date of purchase? I dont understand 20241121! Was it bought new or second hand..private sale or from a dealer? Potential reasons for...

    Turning on/ Battery issue

chief suspect would be the motor to battery cable. Take the non drive side motor cover off, remove the cable and inspect it carefully.

To Thread-Loc or not to Thread-Loc, that is the question

The entire purpose of a torque setting is to maximise the friction between bolt thread and the female thread but to stay below the bolt's shear point. Properly installed there is a bsolutely no reason for that bolt to come loose. If it does you need to find the reason. Thread lock and/or anti...

    Problem with drivetrain

not easy to tell exactly from the photos but the high limit does look to me to be too far towards the mech. The high limit is set so that the chain just moves securely onto the smallest cog then the limit screww backed off 1/4 turn. Your guide pulley looks to be aligned with outside of the...

    AXS and thumbs

make a fist as if you are holding the grip.....including with the thumb. Now note where the percussive force from the bars is largely centred at the base of the palm. Now do the same but with the thumb out to the side as if changing gear with the POD etc. Note how now with the thumb "open" the...

    Problem with drivetrain

    1. did you set the b gap with the shock at SAG? 2. Not sure how you set the B gap when using a shimano cassette but when on a SRAM cassette you use the white tool on the largest cog with the chain on the next cog down and with the shock at sag, get the pointer of the tool pointing directly at...

    AXS and thumbs

thanks for your thoughts. I spent a few minutes examining the position of the POD on my bike and realized that I had not really done anything to get it in the best position, albeit I had removed everything on the priginal bars, to fit my usual Deity bars. Having now looked at it, I can see what...

    AXS and thumbs

I don't believe it is related to bar sweep etc. All my bikes use the same bars and stem and it is right hand only. Convinced that not having my thumb wrapped on the grip a lot of the time is putting force on the palm side base of the thumb which is soft tissue, rather than on the joint between...

    AXS and thumbs

I have never had any hand, wrist arm pain when riding......except since having my 2024 bike with AXS T type I have noticed some soreness at the base of my thumb on my right hand. I do quite a bit of manual work and am left handed so I do not have "office" hands. My hypothesis as to the cause is...

    e160 RSX 2024 Spec Sheet

only that the title E160 is not very specific either in terms of model year or "s" "RS" "RSX" and could even include the previous MX models.

Turbo levo 2023 not turning on

I don't doubt a new battery fixed your issue but the story about the battery having an off state and a fully off state is pretty far fetched!! Far .ore likely to have been an issue with the Rosenberg plug connection. A fairly common issue since the motor to battery connection was changed to the...

    Schwalbe radial tyres

From what I read they said the tyre was more comfortable but had greater drag, and all the riding condition seemed to be dry/ hardback. That does not sound like much of a revelation to me.......sounds just like what happens with non radial tyres at lower pressures.

    My new e160 rsx

I am quite a bit lighter than you and run 195psi in the shock so I would suggest you need more than 195. With the Fox 38 obviously our weight difference makes it impossible to advise but in general terms all my compression and rebound settings are set to near enough half way. I am running 85 psi...

    Schwalbe radial tyres

Not convinced personally. "Radial" construction on cars are a completely different story......far more weight on the tyre and much greater centrifugal force. Invariably also much lower profile and ratio of sidewall to tyre width. I see no crossover benefit to mtb tyres. Tyre pressure is far more...

Bosch CX gen 4 suddenly no assistance (broken?)

I think your assumptions are right. Not on a Bosch cx but on a Levo, my son snapped a chain pedalling uphill on turbo and the motor made a huge noise revving really high for a fee seconds...and he was left with an error which cleared once restarted with a repaired chain. Clearly if you can still...

Levociraptor, Turbo Levo motor failure and warranty void.

Exactly! Horses for courses. Tarmac is boring at any speed.......and pretty dangerous if a main road......fortunately for me if I have to do a tarmac section it is just country lane and pretty short.
