Had a similar issue with my TCU which was replaced under warranty a couple of months back. Recently I've been out in the rain, 2-3 hour rides and wash the bike at least twice a week at the moment as the mud is so bad. not had any issues and don't pay particular attention to avoiding the motor...
Just my thoughts.
Have the FOX Factory 36 (2018) on my SC HT-LT. damping can be a bit harsh but still a great fork. Took about a month to really dial them in if I remember rightly. Had the Lyrick charger with charger damper on my Evil 2019 Following. Very good small bump but always felt it...
It's strange how everyone is so focussed on the stiffness of 38s. TBH I can't really tell the difference in terms of stiffness between my factory 36s and my ZEB 38s. What I can feel is a massive amount of difference in the small bump sensitivity on the 38s. I put this down to two things...
YEP. Now running ZEB ultimates, 160mm travel and 44 offset. Feels 1000% more stable than the stock 34s. Hard to say if its the sole reason the steering feels a bit slower as I have also changed the stock stem to a 50mm length 35mm setup. All I know is I don't feel like the bike wants to kill...
RockShox ZEB Ultimate. Amazing fork and that's coming from a lifelong Fox fan, those Kashima legs are so sexy...
Not one for the weight weenies though!
I've recently done a FF Levo 2020 and an SL 2020 both size large and the patterns are not the same. Pretty sure the chain stays on the SL are shorter too?
I had to take the rubber mud guard off with the SL kit. Didn't have to with the FF kit. Maybe they changed a few things in the month between...
Build in now truly underway.
Zebs went on this week. They are AMAZING. Have always been a bit of a kashima fanboy up until now but fancied trying something different.
Full OneUp cockpit, stem bars and EDC tool.
Pinched a few other bits and bobs from some doner bikes and a new set of boots...
Second ride on the SL and crashed twice tonight. Little bit shaken but no lasting damage. Not crashed in over a year so probably due a few anyway. The front end gives me zero confidence. First crash loss of grip on the front, loose over hardpack conditions. Second over a rooty section that I...
Forks!!!!!!!Everything is ok to be honest. Even impressed with NX group set. I run X01 and GX Eagle on my other rides and it’s not a million miles away in terms of feel and shift quality. Better pads will make the brakes feel a whole lot better than stock.
That being said, my SL is looking...
From what you are describing the SL sounds perfect.
I made the mistake of going FF, costley one at that but luckily managed to pick up a slightly used SL comp carbon the other day. The SL is so much lighter in feel and maneuverability whilst still providing a good amounts of assistance. Like...
Rockshock Zeb too much for the SL? Managed to source both a Lyrik ultimate or the Zeb ultimate, both 160mm. Can’t decide which one to go for. Ride mostly trail and downhill sections but still love jumps and drops. Wouldn’t say bike park expert level but red runs all day long, when I get time...
Couple of noob questions. I'm very part time mechanic..Sorry. First, well second EBIKE but very new to all this.
I'm going with 160 travel, either Fox Factory 36 or Lyrik ultimate, still deciding but what do I need specifically in terms of fit. Tapered, 51 offset and 29 wheel option, Is that...
