Just curious did this fix it? I have experienced this before and although haven't used the dialectric grease have had the problems rear their head again. I'm waiting on a new wiring harness now. Will try the grease and contact cleaner see how I go!

It's a Norco issue. I had my whole wiring harness replaced once. It seems to happen if you get any water in the charging port.

I use a Yakima Hold Up - it's held up ;)

That's pretty much your only option, you do need to shift down to a small cog on the cassette or it doesn't really work.

Rob this new app is not great on a E8000 it bricked my bike!

Don't install the new app and update firmware it will brick your bike!! Rob you should warn people not to do it.

I'm with Gary to a large extent Trailforks on the Garmin isn't great from my experience, I've only done a few rides with my 530, maybe I'll get better, there must be a better way to plan/map rides.

Same here, sounds like what happened with mine, similarly swapped out wiring harnesses problem has not arisen again.
