Another day and another trip to Glentress..old "Reds" in the morning and then playtime in the afternoon on the new Black / Red & Blue flow trails ..which were good fun but it looks as if too many riders have ridden these and found them a little beyond their skill set by the amount of brake bumps...

While that can be pretty annoying after you've given a pretty comprehensive reply ..unfortunately it's not compulsory.

I have 4x MT500 jackets in various guises..2×Hardshell ( one of them an original offering well over 10yrs old ) 1×Softshell & 1x Freeze Point..

Hi @Ganymeade ..they should be fine in light drizzle / rain ..however why don't you " water-proof" them with a spray-on reproofer ..something like Nik-wax or Muc-off or the best Ive used if you can get it online is Pluvonin by Ballistol ..
I wouldn't be too concerned about overheating either...

I like it all ..hills & mountains on all day rides & trail centres don't mind what the weather is ..but would prefer to start the ride when it's not raining / snowing ...if it happens to after that then so be it ..but hate riding in strong winds .
I've never tried downhilling and probably never...
