You would mean that your motor is delivered with the 3.6 installed ? i thinked that 3.6 is only an upgrade available after the end of motor rev 1.0 dispatch, i was wrong it seem
It's at low crank RPM (+- less than 60rpm) and low effort on cranks arms (you know, after 4 hours of ride, when you are tired and you want more help from motor ;)). the power assist cuts and restart on all the PAS levels. But currently i'm in contact with bafang people who help me, they think...

I open this tread specially dedicated to the M510 power variations, because it seem that otherpeople with M510 rev 1.0 still have the problem of power variations not fully solved (alike me) with the 3.1-CS, 3.2 or 3.6 controler software update. I hope that could help us to find an solution.

It's not "major" problem, lot off less than original revision. It's mostly occur in end of exit, when i try to ride at economy (low battery). Troublesome because generally in these situation i'm tired and i bears badly that in comparaison of the good functioning when i'm on fire.
I have...
i have requested to bafang contacts, but they never answered at this time and they don't answer more since i have informed they that power variations still occur with 3.6 :mad:
A few upgrade: connectors cover, tool bag support + tape to prevent pebbles stuck in swing arms
battery charging port, cable pass who don't need wire cut
display support on pivot, mechanical throttle stopper for walk mode
I have modified my appreciation of soft rev 3.6, after test on mountain. The power variations still occur. i prefer finally the 3.2 rev, more or less the same power variations but no gap between crankarms stop and motor stop. thay could be an advantage in hard technical climb, not really problem...
Does the 171 have a remote on handelbar wired to it ? if yes, i think that the remote alike all other HMI is just analogic on/off switches. Does it linked directely to the main wire to the motor alike all other HMI display, without any connector for an remote ? if yes, i don't think you can add...
The remote switch is not CAN, only analog on/off switches. I use various old BBS uart remote, just wiring modification needed to adapt to display DPC240/241. LAnton have allready explain that
