I watched this then went for a very muddy ride and then was terrified to clean my bike how I normally would lol.
How am I meant to clean around a mud caked chain ring safely?
I had similar when I was buying my fox 38. Knew I'd got a decent price but then was trying to get my head around the steerer thing and concerned id bought wrong thing.
At least bottom brackets aren't much of a thing on ebikes because they are another head scratcher for me.
Funnily enough I had a really muddy ride last Sunday and there was crud allover my sensor. I had a moment when riding when it felt like the bike went from turbo into basic trail mode. Seemed to drop it's assistance.
I was heading back to car at time so wasn't too bothered but I'll keep an eye...
For me the best places I've ridden are
BPW
Dirt farm
Innerleithen
Glentress
Laggan
Fort William
Wharncliffe / greno
They arent all bike parks as such but I've had great rides at each of them.
DyFi is on my to do list this year
I tend to buy jackets that aren't biking specific. I don't think I've had any issues with the cut not being long enough on the back because I'd probably run a mudguard in winter if it bothered me.
I'm ex military and agree with an earlier post about picking up some items in army surplus shops...
Had my levo 6 weeks or so now. So far had no real issues except I snapped a chain yesterday. I've been pretty conscious about being in the right gear and not shifting on hills etc but I snapped it right out of the start gate Aaron Gwin style yesterday.
Had to bodge it and lose a link because I...
It was the base carbon 2023 (700w) but now it's been upgraded with fox 38, magura brakes and rotors, a super deluxe ultimate shock I had goin spare, Carbon bars and new grips etc.
Also swapped front tyre for a specialized hillbilly which has been great.
I'd say it doesn't really need much...
Just don't do what I did. I thought the chainstay protector was a simple wrap around and being rough I went to pull it off and snapped it where it wraps around the rear bolt area.
Hi all.
Spent lots of time browsing the forum when researching ebikes but now that I finally own a Levo I figured I should sign up!.
It's certainly a different sport to traditional mountain biking but I'm loving it.
Look forward to adding some input!
