If you have your ebike on the back of a car doing 60mph in wind and rain then don't come moaning on here when water gets into components.

In future maybe just avoid touching the battery too much until it's dried naturally then just brush off any mud.
As for cleaning the bike. If its possible on a GEN1 KENEVO, leave it in the same state it was when riding (all connected). Turn it off and just gently hose/brush off the worst...

Taking battery out.. Washing bike with a portable washer... Bouncing it about a bit to shake off some water then leaving it for ten minutes while you eat before refitting the battery (trapping in any moisture into frame) then chucking bike on back and...
Consider a lighter ebike if you want something to feel a bit less of a tank. A full fat ebike around 20-22kg should feel a bit more lively than the Whytes pushing 27kg
Is there really much difference between the 180 and 160? I imagine if you get an angle adjust headset to steepen it 1 degree and reduce its travel a little and the 180 is probably almost the same bike.
Certainly might be cheaper than sinking 5 grand.
You say you remove the battery before washing the bike?
I don't know much about gen 1 bikes but I know that I wash my gen 3 levo with battery connected and charging port closed.
Id have thought removing batteries exposes parts of the bike that otherwise wouldn't be getting wet.

I put some 15wt rockshox oil in one side and some fox 5wt in the other as that's what I had available.
Took the bike for a five minute ride around the block and I couldn't believe how much better it felt. It seemed to have really smoothed out small bumps like pavement...
Ah I thought people tended to use a lighter weight or something. I've only got some 15wt rockshox oil I'll likely use in spring and was going to use some 5wt fox Teflon oil for damper side.
The stock fork on my levo was a rockshox silver thing and I'm pretty sure it was heavier than the fox 38 I replaced it with. So it's definitely worth swapping out.

That's good info thanks. I had planned on doing same. I'm currently in the slack head angle so and since I'm upping travel to 170 I figured I'd step head angle back to neutral.

Smashpot conversion ready to go into my fox 38 so I think I'm gonna up my levo travel to 170mm. Already have cascade long shock fitted with a super deluxe coil.

Well I've given it a try at Glentress and I'm seriously impressed! The bike feels way more capable and supportive.
As expected running a coil on the back makes the front fork seem almost lacking in comparison. Going to get a shockwiz on it today and try and dial it in.
