    Raise ebike on repair stand?

Our alloy Trek Rails are about 25kg. 1. Attach Halfords "False Cross Bar" horizontally. 2. Lift bike onto Park Tool stand (using legs to lift) and hang on balance point on clamp. 3. Hold in position with left hand while tightening clamp with right hand (because am right handed). 5"10"/75kg/77yrs

    Other 2021 Trek Rail 5

Batteries are removable so open the battery lock on the top left of the down tube, remove the battery and have a look. Bought our spare new 625Wh batteries for about £425 each.

    Other 2021 Trek Rail 5

Battery is easily replaceable. Our 2022 Trek Rail 5's came with 500Wh batteries but 625Wh batteries fit no problem. Might be wrong but I think the 2021 is the same. If you take the 500Wh battery out there's a spacer at the top which is not required for 625Wh batteries. We have a couple of...

What tires are you running this winter?

It works. As below, change 4 tyres twice a year. Pain in the ass, just do it. Schwalbes are a bit harder to mount than Maxxis but seem to retain air better. Post in thread 'Pic of the Day' Pic of the Day

What tires are you running this winter?

UK South Downs chalk with embedded and loose/broken flint, abrasive when dry, slippery and muddy when wet, rooty tree trails. Also Bike Parks and open country (eg New Forest). Maxxis EXO+ get punctures/rips so use DD. Summer: Assegai Maxxgrip DD new front with last year's rear. Then this year's...

    Crank arm cap seized

Agree. Must be gentle, that's all that's required to break a seal. After seal is broken should turn off OK.

Fugly innit? But not as fugly as my back would have been without the rear Mudhugger. Front and rear Assegais turned into slicks, sliding around on roots. Time to fit winter tyres. Also have to do wife's bike so that's four tyres to be changed. And retape rims and fit Fillmore valves at the...
