I installed Magura MT7 brakes and light cable today - reserved 2 hours for the job, due to all the other bikes I ever had have had some tricky, f. ex. too tight, points on the way. With Voima I was done in 30 min.! It's not only this, everything I have worked with the bike, as fitting it for me...
Parts added, inc. 30 lbs/in spring, 551 g and parts removed 98 g. Then 90 ml of oil and 30-40 g of grease. That makes Zeb over 2,8 kg monster.
I think solution for Nvigr8 would be DVO Onyx SC E1 - 180 mm, 2250 g, OTT is very comparable to coil spring in mid-range and D1 damper is the best...
Indeed, I forgot the 469 g from cassette, my bad. And the belt drive is definitely lighter than chain one. Altought Pinion/Revonte would we superb over Roloff... anyone using studded tires on winter knows so well how the added unsprung weight mesh up suspension functionality...
I think we're "in the same boat" - restricted shipping of the Li batteries. Even though every shipment from Germany to Finland come through ship in practice, not as flight cargo. Even within Finland a 160 Wh battery had tight labeling requirements and an extra day delivery time.
Sounds a lot... in comparison with the stock rear wheel weight (inc. disc, cassette, etc.) app. 3100 g (hub 110 g?) that is huge increase in unsprung mass - in contrast with Revonte and Pinion.
I would be happy with just a 50-60 lbs (23,8-26,7 kg) fat (pig...) full powered with 250 W continuous power / 500-750 Wh capacity, if I had to choose just one bike. I would build it as perfect for "do-it-all" as possible. And I'm just 110 lbs / 54 kg myself. There is so much I can gain with just...
I would love all-weather near-zero-maintenance transmission... but I wonder how much weight gain this means in practice? And how sensitive the belt-drive is for mud or snow? I guess all the people 40+ years old can remember Volvo/Duff 344 automatic winter issues...
Any idea how to get a 500 Wh battery to Finland? I'm a bit confused now, any german webshops I found aren't delivering to Finland, even though we're in EU. Would love to decrease the weight by 1,3 kg, because I normally don't need more than a half of the 750 Wh capacity and in longer adventure...
This is my XS hybrid - now for sale, I was riding this with Cane Creek Helm Coil more than this Marz 36 coil conversion. Bike has been great, but I really don't like the limitations of 140 rear stroke - no XS available on any longer. I've been so happy with the Bosch Gen 4, as an exercise I can...
Don't worry, any discussion is welcome - and sometimes comments from someone from totally different basis can become real eye opening ;)
You're spot on in the spring rate thoughts, 300 lbs/in is far too stiff for me (slightly over 20 % sag), but fortunately I got suspension in good balance with...
I can share this. About a year ago I though Levo SL would be perfect 2-in-1. No, just illusion.
Finally I ended up having Cube Hybrid TM140 eMtb and TM140 acoustic - all the parts fit across. Any eMtb just can't beat playfullness of 14 kg, or any any SL can't beat full power Bosch. Although now...
Hi,
Thank You.
I'm not just used to that kind of question - normally in Finland most of the people just ignore (on the forums) my gender. So I was surprised, not offended ;)
Voima is incredible. Feels more like motorcycle (like Yamaha WR or so), rather than full suspension mtb. It took about 2...
Hi,
I'm a grandmother -age newbie here. I've had eMtbs since 2020: Haibike 9.0 DwnHll, Spess Levo SL, Cube hybrid 140 TM and now the new Pole Voima (K0). I'm only 5 ft "tall", so K1 wasn't an option for me, even though I admired the design, all the tech included and fantastic well though...
