I used to race triathlon and had an awesome bike for the time. I think now I'd rather take my chances with trees and rocks than absent minded drivers, or drivers who are just angry at everything because they are wasting their lives. You're right though, I've seen some amazing descents on...
they have some proprietary (non shimano) battery issues too 😟
I've been looking more at the canyon on - the chain runs along the chainstay in the higher gears - it seems to be a poor design fault :(
Not for all of us: I have 3,200km (and going) on my slx drivetrain, still the original chain (a 6100). Although it is mostly dry where I am and I started using wax after the first 500km. It is either steep up or steep down where I ride.
I also use exo tires - they're cheap and light. I use a...
Just looking at the canyon on 7: the geo is impressive (for my needs). Nice to see something without a huge wheel base, reasonable stack height, and not on the super slack band wagon. Looks like a nice climber and good in the tight stuff.
I'd be interested in your feedback on this. My only...
Thanks for that. It sounds as though the 400 would suit me - you are 15kg up on me. It sounds like that fork will be ideal too. I hope your new spring comes soon :)
You've assumed that the problem was moisture; perhaps it was just re seating the battery. Lots of battery operated stuff seems to work again after reseating the battery. This happened to my friend riding a giant - I forget when it stopped, but we were on a ride. Dry, dusty and pretty warm. I...
Good thinking, but they're weird sizing. Inside leg measurement for all of them is 80cm! That's OK if you're small.
Also the knees aren't articulated - I suppose horse riders have nearly straight legs while sitting, unless you're a jocky.
How much do you weigh geared up Pezzar? Thanks for the feedback.
I have often wondered if the fox 38 is too much fork for many folk - I imagine it would be for what I do.
I have a merida e140 - for all intents and purposes the same as a 2020 e160 (e8000). I'd like to move the chainline in toward the motor 2mm or so - is this possible? I imagine a different spider or something. I predominantly use the first 9 gears (out of 12) and also running non shimano chain ring.
I wear shin guards, but not knee pads. I have had stitches in my knee from an otb, but that was when I was using clip in pedals. Then I went to flats with aggressive pins. For a while I was coming off the pedals in jumps and doing a fair bit of damage to my shins. The last time one of the pins...
Have you looked at wiggle reviews? I have dmr, I don't know what model - they're aluminium. They have done a lot and had a lot of hits - they just work. I ended up taking all the inside pins out - I just have the outer and middle pins; they still grip like crazy. I think the inner pins would...
I use the lightest maxxis tyres - just exo. On the rear I use a tannus; the front is fine as it is. My pressures are close to what they were; I'm not into denting rims though and I've been practicing drops and jumps. I can still feel the tyre working (compressing / absorbing bumps) on climbs and...
is the guide able to move forward? Are you able to adjust the mount so that the guide goes further forward?
If not, and it really bugs you, I imagine it is the inside surface of the rear of the guide - you could shave that or even cut it off square with the mount. Just the inside rear of the...
