Same technique I use on my rail 7 (walk mode actually works) more importantly it maintains traction on the rear wheel.

The walk mode on my Rail 9.8 doesn't consume any electrons because it doesn't really work and I can''t use it. I think it is a common problem with smart system bikes that use a remote speed sensor.

Maybe there will be another bike coming out in the future, but the one being rolled out next week is not full power.

The 2022 gen 3 Rail 9.8 were first to have the 1.8" lower headtube diameter. I use the FSA baseplate reducer to run a Fox 38. I have never been a fan of trek and specialized proprietary suspension designs. C-dale even more so.
