I have this issue too, how did you get on? Do I attempt to glue the parts back together or fit a new charging port - I need to decide, but any advice you have would be appreciated.
Do you have the exact party number, I’m thinking it’s
SHIMANO EW-CP100.
Thanks.
Please can someone let me know how much hassle I'm in for here. I need to change the gear cable, can I slide out & in new cable (and new outer) without dropping the motor out. from memory when I dropped the motor before the cable outer had foam damping around it and may not slide too easily...

Probably a bit late on this thread, it seems to have changed course...I can honestly say I don't hate any part of getting a new bike, in fact it's a great feeling. Everything I've ever ordered (physical goods wise) has been in line with my expectations, I've always expected to supply my own...
I cannot say no to jelly sweets. I'm an ex rugby player who struggles to get near 90kg and can demolish a pizza by looking at it. Ironman = bucket list thing and is about survival, estimate 14 hours....Luckily (???) it's been deferred to this year so I have to do all training again...
Yep, got a 29 Carbon Stumpjumper which I like to ride. I enjoy riding it when it's dry and I've got no time pressure and i just want to be outside and spinning! Last year I was training for an Ironman and used it to do low intensity rides.
Speed is your friend. Don't try and fly down however!! Find a speed that means you don't wobble with hesitation as that can cause you to tumble. And as others have said build up to it, picture it in your head and enjoy the rush as you nail it. Everyone has a limit, there is nothing better...
When I had it, I was desperate to be back cycling, I went on my turbo trainer on about day 8 as I thought I was feeling better. I couldn’t get out of bed for 2 days after and my heart was much faster than normal for a good while after. Basically don’t underestimate it as a virus and wait until...
Hello,
I have a META POWER RACE 2019 , which is a great bike, perfectly capable etc. Shimano E8000 / 504wh is fine and if I was unaware of other motor / battery developments, I'd happily stick with it. Is E8000 toast compared to newer motors?
My question is how long before you change bike...
Topeak TuneUp Stand X
Bought one for road bikes as well. Super easy to pop bike on and lube chain pre ride. I also take it in van when i ride in the mud as it holds bike for rinsing with washer.
Hello - I have the Garmin Fenix 6 and yes it can navigate on a Garmin map screen, but it's very small, you can set it to cycle round different screens while it is recording. For Navigation I use a Garmin 1030 and a mate uses an 830. Those are good enough to zoom in / out and show named trails...
Hello Shimano-ers,
Has anyone had their Shimano battery charger die? I have the big brick like charger, I believe it is a (Shimano Steps EC-E600). I have two batteries and it won't charger either, I have changed the plug fuse and tried different wall sockets, but still nothing. Anyone else...
Hello, thanks for this, I (stupidly) paid £65 each for two Topeak tune up stands which are very similar.
The best cleaning thing I have for cleaning is an air compressor, its great for blowing all the cr@p out of any nook and cranny, including drive train - makes it really clean. It also dries...
No dirt problems. I thought the same thing with a mud guard, trying to glue on a thinner strip to reach down but it just didn't work with the suspension movement.
I bought an air compressor and use high pressure air to blow any cr@p out of any nooks and crannies. Cost me £100 ish but well...
