Rustyiron,to be fair opinions are all you are going to get if you ask a question on here,I will only ride flats because they are better for everything (my opinion) my mate only rides clipless he thinks flats suck ( his opinion)we both ride the same trails at roughly the same speed,he is a bit...
@ebikeZA,personally I never replace chains,I run the whole transmission to the point where I get gear slip then replace the transmission.I know people who buy a succession of cheaper chains to save their cassette. They usually spend more in the long run ,or if not more then the same as a new...
quick update, just topped 1350 miles on my tk01-rr with X01 chain and original 12 speed cassette. The chain hasn’t even reached .5 on the chain guage and there is no slipping, very impressed.
flats all the way,I have ridden them since I bmx raced in my teens (61 now)and for me I have tried clip ins a few times and hated it every time ,with practice you can jump and ride rock gardens at speed and never lose a foot,in fact jumping the bike is easier on flats.Everyone to their own but...
Maxi, did you haul the bike up the bridleway beside the hut,it goes vertical almost.I have done it quite a few times on a normal bike but not on the ebike yet ?
All the best
I agree with steve,my Ep8 profile 2 is set up not only to “get me home” but also to “make me work” I set profile 2 with 65nM in turbo ,and 27 nM in eco some times even lower, which means on flatter rides I get a good work out but still get a little help.I tend to ride in eco virtually all the...
That is a lot of money .Like most of these types of bike they are getting a bit expensive,I ordered one of the first delivery into the UK from Ducati Preston and got it for £6,300 ,before the price hikes happened.Personally I would always go for Aluminium frame,I just dont see carbon as having...
I have the standard TK01-RR, Full ohlins, and I love it,I personally think that most bikes like this are very similar and you should buy the one you like the look of the most.I have put 1200 miles on mine ,entirely trouble free.I am aware that things could change but so far I am very impressed.
I dont think it is a bad motor, for every negative post on this forum my guess is that there are a hundred or more out there that are doing just fine. My experience is this, My EP 8 is now only 9 months old, it has done 940 miles (I ride non e bikes most of the time and use the e on big hard...
I believe that X01 is a heavier duty chain ,XX1 is lighter for cross country bikes, so not as suitable for full fat e bikes,I would suggest you fit the gold version of the XO1,I have one on my TK01-RR which is not light !
So far 654 miles and no wear according to the chain guage, running the...
There is a very simple and cheaper way,get a disposable plastic 50 mls syringe ,which cost way less than a quid.Remove the caliper bleed screw and push the syringe filled with fluid into the hole ,screw in carefully to get a good seal.then remove the reservoir screw and depress the syringe...
I would tend to agree with you. There is virtually no movement on the sea and the white breakers seem static.
Happy to apologise if I am wrong but the drop doesn’t look right.
there are very good videos on setting up Ohlins ,they say they take some time to loosen up and this seems to be the case, mine are certainly better now after 3 days on the quantocks and 3 days in yorkshire. Changing profiles on the display is easy , just look at the shimano tutorial on youtube.
hi pivot I just got mine last week , a few observations.
The Ohlins stock recomendations are way out I am running 80 psi in the main spring and 75 in the ramp up chamber , 2 clicks from open on low and high speed compression and 3 clicks from open on compression which releases a lot of...
52mph ,only once and never again coming off the calf, sedburgh, that was on a normal mtb ,so sorry not really an answer to the question.Ebike about 35mph,
quite right,so go buy yourself an electric bike, insure it,tax it as an electric motorcycle and go knock yourself out at what ever speed you want right up the legal motorway limit.
These things are restricted for a reason and if you personally are not interested in gravity, enduro, bike parks or...
I think the limit in the US is a red herring. They have a massive land mass, thousands of square miles with no obvious access issues for off road recreation.I spoke to a couple of mountain bikers whilst in the states ( some years ago,to be fair) but the trails they regularly rode were actively...
I grant you that could be an issue. The problem (in my opinion )is this.I ride ebikes and normal bikes,at the moment there is an increasing number of ebikes on the trails, and jolly good it is too,and if we all stick to the 15.5 limit ,no one feels rushed when a bunch of electrics come up from...
Don’t know why you want to change things. If you need to go uphill at more than 15 mph ,go get a proper motorcycle, and if you can‘t pedal faster than 15 mph downhill with your motor switched off you need to get bigger balls, simples.
