You're welcome ? Yeah lubing the chain is tricky at first. There are some devices you can stick between crankarm and chain, so if you spin the crankarms backwards, they also turn the chainring. Far easier: Shift in your lowest gear (largest cog) and apply the lube while you slowly move the bike...

Obvious question but have you tried pulling on the fork until it fully extends and pushing the buttons on the lowers? If it doesn't work, I'd guess, that your air chambers are not equalizing properly... You could try apply max. air pressure and cycle trough, maybe it will open the port.

Your assumption is correct for normal bikes, but the freewheel of the motor let the crankarms spin backwards without any chain(-ring) rotation. So your feet apply force to the chainring in only one direction, movement in the other direction is (mainly) caused by chain vibration.

It's not chain slap. the chain vibrates and transfers the vibration to the chain ring. That's what causes the rattle. If you hold the chainring while you drop the back wheel, there should be no rattling.

Please make the test with the highest gear and the lowest gear. Chain vibration above the chainstay causes the rattle. It could rattle far less if the chain is on the smallest cog, since it almost lays on the chainstay.

@Rob Rides EMTB Hey Rob, have you ever noticed any rattle from an E8000 motor (I haven't, but some people seem to have)? Can you compare it to the EP8 rattle anytime soon? For most people the rattle might not be a big deal, but for me it can be a reason to cancel my preorder and stick to E8000...

Have you checked the setting of the eco mode? With the E8000, you can customise every support mode in low-mid-high (end even more with custom software e.g. stunlocker). Eco low feels like you would pedal a light XC bike and high gives proper support. Boost high is like a private shuttle ? Have...

@noblige Thank you for your report (great strava ride name btw ?) Mileage and elevation seem reasonable (compared to E8000). I think you can double them, if you stay in eco. Do you have a ride video you can share?

So you are 3 cm in the recommendation of size s an 1 cm before the m recommendation. I am just the other way around ? I also prefer my bike on the smaller side, but I'm confused cause TT in s is so super short. I hope that some of the lucky ones, who get their Metas in the next days can share...

The only other Commencal I own is a 2017 Furious in size m. Compared by the numbers it seems tiny (even if you compare it with the size s Meta Power SX). So size m SX seems way off for me, but I could be wrong, since Commencal recommends size m for 1,68m-1,80m.

Anyone else confused by the geometry? Reach and stack seem to fit, but the TT seems super short (cause STA is so steep). I wonder if I should choose the frame size primarily by the reach I like (size s) or by TT length and sizing table (m at 1,71m). Anyone else stuck between two sizes?
