I did a cold fit on mine before painting and I had the same issue I just trimmed a sliver at a time off the motor wire grommet with a razor it fits fine now I took maybe a 16th of material off .. hers a pic for ya

If you want a very nice glossy finish that is very Diy friendly just lightly scuff the frame with 800 grit or red scotch Brite. spray a good quality base black not nessesarily glossy you want a paint that give good color coverage and uniformity with the base coat. .then get a 2k clear...

Both those shocks forks are more than enough and no don't buy into that whole ebike specific labeling. The biggest difference in your 2 options is stanction size the lyrik is 35mm and the fox is 38 obviously, for me personally I prefer the fatter fork. mainly for looks to be honest.
