I've had a couple of issues with what I thought was a speed sensor, as the motor would cut out occasionally, and the speed would be zero, so had my LBS order a new one. It's only about £25.

The more I think about it, the more a fast estate makes sense. I don’t need an SUV, will soon get bored of using a camper or van to use as a main car, plus estates tend to be nice and low, so loading the bike in the back isn’t going to break my back.
I just got a pair of these. They're a bit tighter than most gloves, but will stretch a little. Tested the other day at 3 degrees, and my hands were warm.

My LBS has offered to shorten the cables for me at the first service, once everything has bedded in. Mind you, I don’t expect them to stretch that much initially!
Back to the OP, the problem at the moment is that not many bike shops have demo bikes, due to demand levels, so we have to take a bit of a gamble. I bought my Cube without riding one, and have done the same with my new Whyte.
I always do loads of research, read reviews from the bike mags...
I had a play with one of those a couple of months ago when out on my 1260 Multi. The sound those things pump out is phenomenal! I’ve just had the full Termi fitted to mine now though, and the sound from that is dangerously addictive.
