Question about servicing Marzocchi Z1 Bomber...

I've got all the parts and oils I need to service the lowers of my 2020 Marzocchi Z1 Bomber. While the forks are apart, I plan on checking and regreasing the air spring. The Z1 appears to be based on the Fox 36, and the Fox 36 service guides recommend 3cc of 20wt Gold oil in the air chamber...

Kenevo Gen1 2020 Kenevo startup problem

Also, if I put my (dry) thumb over the bottom two battery contacts, the battery charger LEDs flash as if it was charging. Do other batteries do that or is mine faulty? (Yes, I've smashed my battery guard, but that's another sad story...)

Kenevo Gen1 2020 Kenevo startup problem

It used to, but it doesn't now.

Kenevo Gen1 2020 Kenevo startup problem

This is odder still - pressing the button does absolutely nothing - not a peep. But then disconnect the power cord and reconnect it (maybe a few times) and the bike starts up but without having to press the button. The button works, as once it's powered up, pressing the button shuts it down...

Kenevo Gen1 2020 Kenevo startup problem

Just went for a short spin to check the bike over and there's a problem with the startup. The problem: Pressing the start button on the controller does nothing. However, disconnecting and reconnecting the bike's power connector to the battery causes the bike to start up *without* the need to...

Levo Gen 2 Are Specialized dealers obligated to service bikes purchased online?

I'm in exactly this situation. I purchased online from Rutland and live nowhere near any Rutland shops. My two month old Kenevo has a fault so it's gone to my local(ish) Specialized service centre. The centre asked for proof of purchase and I think they are going to bill Specialized directly...

Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

I don't know. Rutland is pretty huge so perhaps they've got some insider plans from Specialized? Just a guess, but it makes sense, as the greater the number of motors on old firmware means a greater likelihood of warranty claims and expense for Specialized, so it's in their interest to allow...

Levo Gen 2 Warranty extension & Firmware Update for all 2019/20 Levo/Kenevo with 2.1 motors

I had this email from Rutland. I don't live anyway near a Rutland shop so this this was a concern. However, point 4 is interesting - it suggests that the motor firmware update will be an at-home update in the near future. I hope so as my local Spec dealer hasn't replied to my email. 2. Can...

Hi all! New ebike, some concerns about its durability....

Thanks. I agree - the plastics used on this premium bike are brittle and fragile. I'm not a careless rider. This was an unforeseeable event when the front wheel spat up a stone at speed. The bike should be able to easily withstand a strike like this, especially as it's marketed as one of the...

Hi all! New ebike, some concerns about its durability....

Hi all. Long time mountain biker on traditional bikes, BMX'er in the 80s, mountain biker since the 90s, just splashed out on a 2020 Specialized Kenevo. The bike goes well, and handles like a champ. However, on the second ride I did a steep technical descent with a lot of loose rocks and stones...
