Hi, it’s not too difficult to drop the battery, the speed sensor is an easy swap out, make sure you use the shimano tool to disconnect and reconnect and don’t over tighten the sensor fixings. You can get the motor removed without removing the cranks but you’ll have to remove the chain guide.

brand new bike I thought I’d put the gold 12 speed ebike chain on, brand new chain with missing link, it was like watching some voodoo take place before my eyes no way would it grab the cassette. There’s videos showing the same on other forums.

It’s a Shimano 12 speed chain, others do not work I’ve tried a 12 speed kmc and it didn’t work. The 12 speed Shimano chain has a different profile. The shifting is very good, I would leave good enough alone.

Fitted my replacement cassette tonight and shifting is better but still struggles from 9 to 10 tooth and now struggles on some of the midrange too. the cassette has a slightly different machining profile. update; I’ve ditched the e13 and di2 and installed eagle axs which shifts like a dream.
