Probably a more light option is good for the marketing to have a larger weight difference between the carbon and alloy.
Can you see whether or not there is an upgrade kit for 21/22 rise m customers to get the new charger port and smart charger ?
I’m not sure about your calculation. You have to look at the current that flows through one cell in dependency of serial and parallel connection of the cell. I could not find information for max. C rate of Tesla’s cell’s - guess they are LiFePo and not NMC type? But from practical point it is...
In a German webshop the 2023 models are listed with the 4A Smart Charger and the 540 Wh option.

Oh really, I could only test the M on a street and did have the impression that the frame is quiet stiff when sharp cornering? Also the side flex seem to be quiet good 🧐🤔
You are right, that is what the homepage says. I hoped for a real Smart Charger…
The old one reminds me back in the time when I was playing with my RC cars in the 90‘s… also the switching noise of the Relais …
It can adopt the charging current in dependency of parameters such as the State of Charge. Normally the strategy in EV‘s is to charge with high current until 80% and then with lower currents until the end-of-charge voltage is reached...
Dear all,
I‘m considering to wait for the Rise M 2023 with updated battery system. I‘m not sure about the extra money for the carbon. In the past I made the experience that alloy frames lack of stiffness especially for heavy riders.
Anyone out there, who could test both bikes in comparison ?
Thx
Rise M 2023 will get the 4A smart charger with default 360 Wh and optional 540Wh, so it matches the Rise H System. This i have seen in a German Webshop on a preliminary product page. Ride on 🤙
I think the extra weight to a ZEB (160/150) is marginal also the ultimate deluxe air Rc2T is similar to the float x.
Don‘t get me wrong, but I think a stiffer fork with a better air spring and a damper with a hbo and hsc will help to support my rider weight (95kg ~ 210 lbs) and riding style...
