I have wrapped bike frames before. I would stay away from simple solid colors as it is IMPOSSIBLE to wrap a frame without seems. solid color show seems much more and knowing where to seem as well and what direction to seem for less viability is key. Graphics with lots going on are the best as...
Yes wheels and tires will make a difference but the Comp is the MULLET and the Pro 29 is all 29er so regardless of components they will handle very differently due to the fundamental differences between the 2.
Well the big difference is that the comp is designed more as an enduro pig whereas the Pro 29 is more all mountain. components aside you need to decide if you want the more gravity oriented ride or a more all around ride. I have the mullet and it's a descending BEAST and climbs well enough for...
Can you show a screen capture of your STunlocker? Currious on the .62 reduction. wouldn't you want to increase not reduce? I know with my truck I have bigger tires than stock so my speedo is 9% off meaning if it says i am going 60 I really am going about 64-65ish.
The Vorsprung Smashpot is $320 and works on the Fox 36, however not sure on the E-36 since it has 34 internals. If you do decide to go coil I would recommend getting a new fork. it seems like the E-36 has little that can be done to modify it. The Lyrik is a great fork and can be had for cheaper...
I can also vouch for the Vorsprung Smashpot. I put it in my Lyrik and made it 180mm and it was a game changer.....I will never go back to air....haha. The smashpot has a little hydraulic at the end of the travel to add a bit of progression to the spring as well. Super nice.
I'm not sure what my HSC is set at. I didn't set it. lol. my bike feels smooth as butter on drops and jumps. I feel much more comfortable on my decoy as I ever did on my Nomad.
I have the file I used for mine. It's an XL. It would have to be adjusted for other sizes as I did the file from scratch according to my bike. the upper chainstay arms are the difficult part. I wrap cars for a living so it was easy for me.
Back to the OP....The 2 years are the exact same frame wise. the only difference is components. If you like to customize your components to suit your likes and pref then a 2019 is perfectly fine (and is still fine stock) plus you'll get a price break for a 2019. the 2020 base has a better...
Nice. yeah it's not hard but not easy to swap out the spring in the fork. I have done it a couple times trying to find the right spring for me. I don't lend my bike out. at least not my Decoy. I have a nomad I lend out. make them keep up with me. lol.
I will have to look into Mucky Nutz.
I...
Love that build. I agree. I did the 180mm on my Lyrik but also went a step further and did a Vorsprung Smashpot coil kit in it instead. also went with a coil rear shock with a progressive spring. It's a real game changer. I literally am in love with my bike's setup. Also went with a ENVE m7...
The biggest issue is I have with fox is they apparently are completely against doing a 29er fork in 180mm, whereas, the Lyrik comes in 180. I know grip 2 is a game changer but the debonair is no slouch. The only reason I'd do fox nowadays is to have to Gucci kashima coating...bling bling. The...
In all honesty I like fox a lot but my Lyrik is way better than all the fox 36s I've ever ridden. And it's cheaper. And it's the only 29er fork that can do 180mm. I have mine set at 180 and slapped in a vorsprung smashpot coil conversion. super silky butterness.
