You'll have to experiment with different settings to find what works best for you in terms of fun, range, etc. Some of like to set max assist at full power so the motor continues to reward your effort at whatever assist level you choose.

It pains me to see that in this day and age there are folks that remain so uninformed that they don't know the difference between "weather" and "climate". Let's get back to pics and discussion of this season's effects on California (or other) mtb trails.

I don't know enough about the TQ motor to explain how drag like this could occur. In any case the EXe should not feel like "a real dog" at 50% assist. 150W assist is quite a boost. It sounds suspiciously like it may just be a psycho-somatic phenomenon where your legs and brain sense the change...

@rpr - I agree with @MLX John that something may be wrong with your bike that needs looking into by a dealer. My SL feels like a Rocket compared to no assist. Just a chance, but what power settings are you using? Assist level? Peak power? If peak power is set low it may feel Ike power is...
