Re invigorating this thread a bit given the extender is becoming available in the UK. Has anybody managed to try one on a Trance ? I struggle with why every model except the Trance and TBH quite disappointed if that remains the case and I end up shelling out £650 for a 625W replacement to get a...

Sorry but I think you are mixing your km/h and mph. There is a 15 mph / 24 kmh limit in the UK for example but a 20 mph / 32 kmh limit in parts of the US and other countries.

Eddy Current 2.8s. Absolutely mental - seen smaller tyres on a motocrosser.... Seem ok though on local outdoor centre @ Comrie.

So bike bike. Massive kudos to Velocity 44 in Stirling. Ordered motor Tue from Holland, arrived, fitted tested and bike dropped off at my house tonight. Other one going back for forensics.

I am good with it. Will end up with a spare motor which isn’t the worst thing to have. Also paid £3,750 for it originally so this kind of evens that out.

So motor didn't go back (LBS didn't have time...). Hub is fine as it is a Hope which was put in to replace the original. It will - given current situation - take 4 to 5 weeks at least for motor to go back to base and be shipped to Netherlands for inspection & fix. Replacement motor ordered...

Motor going back.... will see what transpires.

Bike goes into LBS on Friday. Will ensure he knows about hub and motor mounts.

Bike sounding like a bag of bolts. Gear change never been smooth but now real clunks and when I pedal under pressure the bike quite literally groans at me... Now I know I am 190 lbs but..... Anybody else had to replace bearings / BBs on this model ? Total mileage c300.... Was 2nd hand buy so...

I have it on my Giant Trance SX E+. It's good but only issue is I use bike stand for maintenance and the weight of the bike leads to the stand distorting the invisiframe covering. Tried various ways to lessen the strain on the bike and it is a rubber lined set of jaws on the stand. Also : who...
