I bought 2 at the Carpentari bike shop on Lake Garda in Italy for €11.00 each last week!
They rent loads of Cub bikes, so I guess they need them often enough.
Have you got the Bosch eBike Connect App on your phone? (Do you have a smart phone?)
Make sure you start the app on your phone, and that it is connected to your Kiox. THen turn the Kiox off, and it will synchronize / Upload stats to your phone.
With the charge that sounds strange. It works on...
As MrPeaski said, it will prolong the life of your gears. This is the same with a normal bike, but with an e-MTB you have the combined power from the motor and from your legs, so if you change gears under power that is putting a huge amount of stress on your chain and gears. The chain is being...
I agree, I gave up on range long ago. I must admit that I LOVE the Kiox display that displays the actual battery %. this has much more value to me than range that seems to jump all over the place. And which doesn't know if you have a hill to go up, flat or downhill. A headwind or tail wind...
Hmm.
Good question.
Firstly learn to change gears with minimal pressure on the pedals. (Similar to normal mountainbikes, but more important)
Don't pressure wash your bike, particularly around the crank area.
Start your rides in Eco, or motor off to get used to the bike weight, then use the motor...
Never heard of eMTB Lite except for the new mode available on new Moustache bikes, but that is not available to any other manufacturers.
As far as I know there is no alternative to the Kiox controller. I don't have a problem with it. I just use it.
I had the Shimano Levers under the handlebar...
Exactly. And I also read / heard, that they overestimate your speed on purpose so you / they do not become liable for having a Pedelec powered at over 25kmh. Similar to car speedos which always show you are going faster than you actually are. Otherwise people would start sending their speeding...
I have the same problem. WHen riding with other eBikes, I am always struggling to keep up as I am over 25 and they are within. My wife has a cube with 29 inch wheels, and mine are 27.5. she is a little faster.
I adjusted my wheel diameter to as small as possible and it helped a bit (I think).
Choices, choices, choices.
Here is my 2c. Note I have Cube, and had Focus.
I have the Cube 160 TM. an amazing bike and probably much more capable than me. I definitely don't get to the limits of the bike as I tend to keep my wheels on the ground as much as possible. But, I love hammering down...
Oh yes, I forgot about that. It was the thing that made me stop using it. On longer rides you always stop somewhere, and after re-starting the navi display just starts jumping all over the place. It becomes totally useless.
It does the same if you stop and try to re-plan your route somewhere...
I would also say do NOT get it for the navigation.
It is a fun feature, but for serious riding is very inflexible.
As soon as you have to change your route, or go somewhere off the planned track, it gets very confusing.
Kiox is great, but as said, if you want to navigate, then get something made...
Yep, I agree. They adjusted my derailleur and tightened my headset. (Which I said they didn't need to do as I was taking the forks out for a service anyway). That was all for €75. Not going back there again. even if they did sell me the bike. Was treated like a total idiot.
Or you take the charger with you, and plan a tour where you can stop for lunch, or make a couple of shorter stops where you can load your battery.
I have managed full day tours of up to 100km with 2000m or up to 3000 meters climb by adding some loading stops. Last year I bought the Bosch 6A fast...
