    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

I got word from Commencal that I didn't need to send the frame back after all. I needed to send them proof it was destroyed. Which is great as not I have an extra rear triangle and linkage just incase. There's a strange feeling to taking a sawzall to your bike. Since I had the opportunity I...

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

I don’t know. The seat post extended below the crack as it was. If I ever need to replace the post I’ll get a longer one.

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

1 ride so far on the new frame. Any it's much quieter that the broken one. I have a feeling the "seat" creek I had be hearing for a while might not have been the seat clamp/post after all.

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

Looks like the duties got all sorted. The replacement frame arrived yesterday. I’m almost done with the swap. I have to say I was a bit nervous about doing the frame swap but it has been the easiest bike build I have ever done by far. With the motor removed there is so much access for the...

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

I could, but I’d rather not potentially loose my money. As much as I want to get back to riding I’m hemorrhaging money on another project right now and have not worked in 4 months.

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

Another update. The frame was shipped out last week and scheduled to be delivered to me on Tuesday 7/14. Monday 7/13 I got an invoice from DHL for $267us to pay for import duties. I contacted Commencal ASAP and was told by someone in Andorra “we will take care of that it won’t cost you...

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

Still waiting to find out if there is a frame available for me. I did hear back from Commencal USA yesterday with a request from the "engineers in europe" They wanted to see a photo of me on the bike as well as photos of the seat post out of the bike. I'm not sure why the wanted to see me on the...

    Broken Frame: 2018 Meta Power

Hi guys wanted to share what I discovered as I was getting ready for a ride today. Looks like I'll find out what the warranty process is like. Chatting with the guys at Commencal USA on the phone made is sound like a smooth process assuming they can find an XL frame to send me. I really don't...

    meta power 27.5 tire size

How many miles and what sort of conditions are you riding? I put my eddy's on in October ride mostly loamy rooted single track 2-3 days a week and my tires still look new compared to yours. Do you have any issue with tire sealant leaking through the casing between rides?

Need Recommendation for a replacement rear hub.

I’m in the same boat. My stock formula hub has spun 2 freehub bodies in the last 200 miles. I’m leaning strongly towards the DT 350 Hybrid as it seems to be affordable and beefy.

Formula Hub Dead Pawls (2018 Meta Power)

I got out for my weekly sanity ride on friday and a mile into my ride my freehub body would spin both directions. After a walk back to the car and drive home I started investigating The XD driver was more difficult to remove than it should have been and discovered all 3 pawl had a rounded...

Anyone ride in Washington State, USA?

I’m see signs that the tide might be starting to shift. Have you seen this post from Evergreen? Updates On e-MTB Access & Advocacy In Washington I was out at my most frequented trail system this week and talked to a couple of Snohomish county park rangers after I watched them ask a group on...

Lights....Anybody fitted them to Shimano 8000

It’s sort of a joke. only 12watts available from that port. It wouldn’t even allow my light in motion bike light to turn on.

Can you guys fill out this survey to inform the massively uninformed Evergreen mtb comm about ebikes

Thanks for posting this. I hope evergreen wakes up and realizes this is the future and people willing to spend $$$$$ on an emtb will likely also be willing to create and maintain places to ride. In the last 11 months I’ve put in 800 single track miles on my emtb. Not one of those were in places...

Has anyone else experienced frame wear from derailleur cable running? I’m experiencing some aluminum wear as well as cable housing wear from where it exits the frame.
