yeah I'm on that page @AndyH - 30km and 600m climb with my clockwork buddies last night, only used 100Wh. it's hard work but very doable.

I towed my 8 year old last week using 2 29er inner tubes daisy-chained, one end around my waist the other around her stem. She couldn't stop giggling. 2 wasn't quite long enough (she had to ride beside not behind me), I'll try 3 next time.

Shakedown ride on my medium Carbon Comp last Friday. Location is Leith Hill Tower, Surrey. Bike was totally stock, apart from grips, at this point.
