Answered Focus Jam2 battery charging problem

I use mine for all sorts of riding including long road rides with mates. Commonly run either my integrated battery or Tec pack down to "Full Red" until they cut out, then change to the other battery and carry on (I alternate which battery I start riding on). Have had zero problems charging...

    Welcome to the Focus Forum

Went for a road ride on the Focus Jam2 this morning with a couple of mates on their road bikes. 105.8km, 497m climbing. quite windy (typical Wellington). All ECO mode, just got into the third bar on my second battery, showed 37km range left. So probably would have got to 140km on the two...

    E -bike snobbery

Guess it must depend more on riding style/ability and weight than anything. I know my bike is another brand but same basic rules surely apply - with base model Focus Jam2 which has average spec: this is a huge upgrade from anything ive ever had before ($1000 New Zealand Dollar Hardtail), its...

    Dodging the lynching

oh the poor little kiddies not getting their virtual trophies. I cant believe these cry babies. They must have been inconsolable as toddlers when their siblings hid their teddy bear

    Dodging the lynching

I always monitor my rides using Strava and also my Samsung gear 3 watch. results are normally within 2 to 3 percent of each other. Variations for the same ride can vary 2 to 3 percent for distance. Only real anomaly I always get is Metres climbed. One 80k ride I do can show 1700m on Strava on...

    Finally an EBike owner!

Not really an aggressive enough rider to justify that. As an overweight 57year old, I leave the real technical stuff to the young ones and just enjoy Logging Tracks, Roads and Walk/Bike Trails concentrating more on Distance than anything. I just like the Cardio workout with views that I would...

    Finally an EBike owner!

Depending on your rides, you may well need the Tech pac. That ride pictured was 80km with about 1500m of climbing (3hrs 25 min). Got home with 6km range showing on the second battery. Other times the integrated battery is plenty.

    Chain Life

Focus Jam2 with Original KMC-6B/HG64. 1100kms and almost at .75 now. I weigh 116kg's, ride mix of Road, Single Track, Fire Breaks, River trails (probably average 1000m climbing per ride). 90% Trail mode, 5% ECO, 5% Boost. guess I'm getting a new chain this week but fairly happy with how that one...

Meta Power 29er vs 27 - Opinions Please!

I'm 5'9 and have a 29er hardtail and a 27.5 Focus Jam2 ebike. I find the 29 inch wheels on my hardtail to be quite "large" after getting plenty of k's on the ebike. really hard to tell what makes the difference as they are two totally different bikes. I reckon you probably have to try the same...

    What are the bad points

Speaking as one of the older at 57years (and fatter at 116kg) guys. I find the ebike so much more fun that I have basically trebled my riding over the last three months since I bought it. I quite simply feel more motivated to ride more often and further as its so much more fun. So yes I am...

How was your ride, in one picture and one line?

69.3km, 1,279m Elevation gain, 28 degrees (Celsius) Sealed road (I know but this bike has replaced all my bikes) 2 bars left on my second Battery. "you can't beat Wellington on a good day"

    2019 Focus Jam2 6.8 Plus Review

its been interesting watching this debate but I don't really see the relevance of the scientific "Maximums" being quoted. in essence, these same batteries can be used to power some of the bigger 1000w motors available or power the 250w motors de-restricted. This would leave me to believe that...

Anyone tried the Focus Jam2 Plus LTD?

Depending on the travel the Revelation RC has different numbers of Tokens installed as standard: four in the 120mm fork, three at 130mm, two at 140mm and zero in the 150 and 160mm options. Once again, it’s just like the Pike. Over the past couple of months we’ve tested the Revelation RC on a...
