This has been discussed before, Specialized went quite aggressive with their suspension setup (Heavier riders, big jumps) and fitted a couple of spacers and suggest a high pressure. What I did is remove all the spacer from the fork, set the initial pressure using the Rockshox app and also...
As already stated great review! I myself have a ´19 expert and hearing your comments about the suspension I have to agree that for the kind of riding that I do both the progression and the pressure were too high. What I ended up doing was removing all the tokens from the fork (Pike in my case)...
After one of the original valve stems failed (it sheared at the top, where the core screws) I installed a stans and worked perfectly. The original stems seem nicer with the o ring but the stans are more sturdy and seem to seal without issues, they are what I use on 3 different bikes with Roval...
I just looked at the shop manual from one of the sticky posts at the top of this section and the dropper post installation is covered in detail an does not seem that hard to do, no need to remove the motor. An experienced bike shop will take 2 hours tops to install it, if you have experience...
if it is leaking from the base ju can try to tighten the nut (most obvious), normally just by hand or if you decide to use pliers be VERY careful not to overtighten, if the leak is from stem when you remove the pump you can remove the core and try to clean it (better to replace it).
Another...
Do not cut the cable, most likely it just disconnected from the seat post. Loosen the clamp and try to slowly pull the dropper to have a look, as advised above remove the lever from the handle bar and feed the cable while you pull the dropper. It should be an easy fix. The cable has a barrel at...
Yesterday I took my bike to have this fixes installed, but the dealer said that they have not received any bulletin and when I mentioned this information he said that it is country specific and that in my country (Mexico) it does not apply! I do not think this can be right, Maybe @Specialized...
I have also experienced this and I also assume it is due to thermal protection on the motor. I only notice it when trying to go fast uphill on fireroads
To explain why I do get a higher speed limit you need to notice that the normal speed limit in North America is 32 km/h with the standard 2300mm wheel circumference, once you also modify the wheel size to 2000 your speed limit will increase by 15% (round numbers) to 37.
When I first got the bike...
It comes with 1 Gnar token and one regular. Funny how it really depends on personal preferences, I ended up removing the gnar token and was worried it was going to bottom out but it has worked great for the way I ride and my weight (80kg kitted up)
The bike is quite heavy, the tyres are draggy and the chainring is quite big, so it is a bike that is hard to pedal unassisted. I was going to suggest the same thing as I find that even Eco feels like 2 gears easier (If that makes sense). Give it a try going to zero assist before you reach the...
When you purchase a saddle it is very important to measure your sitbone distance, recently I bought a new Sq-lab 611 active saddle (150 for my 130mm sitbone distance) and the difference in comfort is just amazing! I do also wear bib and regular padded liners.
PCS 10 holds my 19 levo without any issue. I do clamp using the dropper post just making sure it is clean. I have not been brave enough to clamp the carbon frame...
