I'm actually 100% in the Specialised game and get good prices here through my friend and dealer, but I sometimes look to the left or right at the current prices. Santa Cruz Vala can be found in Germany but at least in the online shops with 0% discount so far... Heckler etc are heavily discounted on the other hand

A bit off topic but it really shows the problems in the industry if the discounts on the Vala are as reported here (20-35% off !!!). I can't recall a new bike with the latest motor tech and such great reviews being discounted like that ...
Maybe we all need to wait a bit with the Levo and see what the pricing looks like in a few months ??
The covid party is over, too much inventory, people financially stretched due to inflation. Like phones, technology advancements have slowed so the rush to upgrade is diminished. Dare I say prices are correcting themselves.

I got a new Crafty with 20% off with shortage of inventory. Even if it's the latest and greatest in current times there is quite some room for discounts. Wonder how that will work with the Chinese 🙄

Don't know if Spesh is open for that but being "new" even with a discount, paying almost 10K for a carbon emtb with medium parts not sure if it's the winning ticket. I don't doubt the bike will be good but I'm more concerned on the pricing .

As for the discounted Vala, don't want to hack discussions around but many have asked and good deals are good to share, so here you go :

Or for the GX AXS

I have a code of 8% additional discount so PM as I would glady share it

By the way for both bikes you get a voucher code after purchase of 700/800 euros for parts in the next 12 months.

Again, I'm not an affiliate or anything with these guys just found them online and a lovely lad shared the discount code with me as well.

About £7k for a C S model, delivered. £7.5k for a C AXS. A bit cheaper if the discount code works.

It works. Just tried it, well the heck with it, it's : 24CLUB8FANTIC
As the shop is from Italy / EU not sure how taxes work for UK but I think they have it mentioned somewhere.

Also the regular prices in Italy seems to be very low compared to Germany...

Anyway and back to the main topic... Open your eyes gents: The dealer information days should start today in Spain...
Maybe we catch some hints on social media???

The dealers aren't going to post anything until the embargo is lifted. When the embargo is lifted all the usual websites will post the first ride articles anyway.

I posted early last week that a dealer I follow on social media was already at a Specialized event so I'm pretty sure these dealer sessions have been going on for week already at this point.

While we wait, here is a blast from the past - from 6 years ago. Remember the launch, Gen 2 was a real emtb revolution, Gen 3 was "just" an evolution. What the Gen 4 will bring - evolution or revolution, well, we will see very soon.

The Specialized SJ15 is already being discounted and it recently came out.

I agree, biggest disappointment in the "rumors" is no LT option such a waste if they're investing so much into such a hyped bike that cannot just be "gen5"ed next year, add the option for a full powered KSL
I couldn't agree more ... Especially about the full powered KSL option.

If true, the Gen 4 Levo weight of 19.5 Kh (43 Lbs.) is quite respectable. I would opt for the 600 W battery myself (likely the Pro model), as I rarely use more than 500 watt battery with my current Levo Gen 3. This, combined with the rumored Gen 4 range extender would be adaquate for my use. It is also possible that the ranges will be improved with the 48v system as well. All good news!

Its because the Vala is getting a refresh, new colors, new bosch screen and new SRAM stuff. My local dealer was only offering discount on in-stock models to clear them out before April.

If you are in the USA check with your local dealers, they have wiggle room and if not check N+1 Bikes | Louisville, KY no tax, free shipping and always running 11% off with code. If you call them they will usually do even better.

I'd be surprised if it's light light, that is Levo SL territory.

I do like the idea of the smaller battery with a range extender or an option being able to swap out battery sizes. I only use 1/3rd of my Levo gen 3 battery in 16 miles with 2000 ft of climbing. 1hr 15 min ride.
