I live in a pretty flint strewn trail area and I have had to go to the heavier sidewall version of the Nobby Nic tyre on the rear to prevent side punctures and side wall damage. Sadly I'm now using two different versions for the front and rear. Great all round tyre though and I do like them a...
I have seen ERR30 a few times now, always because of the cable to the display pulling out slightly. I get quite a bit of overgrowth dangling down onto the single tracks and it seems to pull that cable enough to slightly dislodge it.
Hi, my DPX2 Float shock locks out after riding it for a time with the initial part of the stroke going solid. I can then slowly compress the shock a few times with the initial part of the stroke will then compress as normal. Any clues to maybe I'm setting it up wrong ?
There is also some noise...
One more thing, does anyone know the headset bearing outer cage diameters, treated myself to some nice 38mm Zeb shocks that came up on offer, i may as well change the headset when I fit it.
Thanks
Max is the version with no cage and an extra ball or two here in Euro land. Took a bearing out to check on the shock mount and it was a 6901 VRS which is a Max equivalent.
Now that I know quantities I’ll order them in.
Andy5, yes its the 61810RS bearing that always fails. The bearing seal is directly exposed to the elements with limited shielding and protection. I'm coming to the conclusion that our UK mud and crud is exceptionally abrasive and when it gets down between the crank arm and seal, the rotation of...
Anyone have a list of all the rear swing arm and suspension bearings. Mine is now coming up 5 years and nearly 3.5K miles and the bearings are just starting to get a bit rough. Pretty good considering that my analogue bikes were only getting 2 - 3 years in the mud and slop we ride in during the...
Looks like my drive side bearing has failed again after the UK winters of mud and slop and ice and grit ( this is not unique to the M510 as all the Bosch riders I ride with are having the same issues ). The seals look like they are just not man enough to prevent wearing in the abrasive muck it...
Most generic frames are just that, copies of well known brand frames, probably made to a similar standard by a well known factory churning out frames for multiple brands. Can we guarentee quality, probably no but then can we guarentee quality from any well known brand where the frame is made in...
