SRAM Code rear brake keeps exhibiting contamination symptoms

Mike & Irie, It's possible the rotor has been contaminated however, I'm not 100% sure on that. We would need to see a picture of the caliper to see if it is leaking fluid. It could also be something as simple as washing the bike with a high soap concentrate and contaminating the rotor. I'm...

SRAM Code rear brake keeps exhibiting contamination symptoms

ah1, In response to your questions, there are two issues at play when it comes to SRAM brakes. I will explain below. My hope is this will help you and others who have a similar issue with their SRAM brakes or possibly any other manufactuer's brake system. At the end of this message you will...

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

That sounds good. I was going to recommend the same thing. Shoot me a private message if you encounter any issues with the install. It looks like you have things dialed in. As a side note, my brother now has my Rise. It has close to 4,000 miles on it and it's still running strong. Every time...

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Tickle, I was going to mention the rear axle bearings in my other response but decided to stay on point with your question. Over the years, I've worked on and rebuilt numerous 2021/2022 Carbon M series Rises. At one point there were six of my riding buddies who all had Rises. I have yet to find...

PART # 2: ORBEA RISE - LOWER MAIN LINKAGE AXLE AND BEARING SERVICE

Tickle, Confirm your Rise is a 2021? I've attached several parts drawing just to be sure we are talking about the same O-ring. I believe you are asking about O-ring 3.2 as listed in the diagram "B" for the rear axle? If not, please let me know which diagram's O-ring you are referring to...

    Turn off assistance?

Steve, do I detect a sly sense of humor in your post? I can verify that everything Steve mention's is 100% true, except for the Lycra part, bad bad stuff. People will mistake you for a roadie, nobody wants that. Friends don't let friends wear Spanx... And...Plummet is 100% correct, ride your...

    Turn off assistance?

There are three things that will greatly impact range on an eBike. They are rider weight, elevation gain of the ride, and distance. There are also lesser things which can also have an impact on range. This includes things such as rider fitness, turning you bike off on the flats, how fast the...

    DT Swiss rear hub bearings

Oh Yea...... Been there and done that. I ripped my vice and work bench from the wall of my garage trying to get the drive ring off of a 350 hub. I found that loosening the drive ring helps with a bit of heat from a blow dryer, the help of friends and a few beers. Good job!

I didn’t want to be here, but...

Brother, I'm sorry this happened to you. Nobody wants to lose a bike that they love. Enjoy your new eBike, it's going to open a whole new level of riding for you. Be safe, Rod

Anyone change their rear hub while leaving the front hub stock?

Whityman, I 100% agree. I find it always a bit difficult to write an opinion on something, or a review of a part, for the simple reason my riding environment, style, frequency will be different than another rider's environment, skill, terrain, etc. We all subject our bikes to differing levels...

Anyone change their rear hub while leaving the front hub stock?

Underblu, I saw that nobody answered your question. I do not know your level of riding and experience, so I apologize in advance if you already know what I will discuss below. I would rather make the mistake over-explaining as oppose to assuming you know something and leave something important...
