Sincere apologies for the delay.
I can't comment from "hands-on" experience concerning the Twitter ebikes, as they only offer 3 frame sizes with the large having a reach of roughly 480mm.
The reason I chose the CEF50 was because the XL has a reach of over 500mm. This suits me at a height of...
Use a fin flat head screw driver and a mallet. Look for 3 ingress points on the motor and tap the flat head screw driver in each of the three points. It will eventually start to separate. Do try not to damage the seal around the motor when separating. Otherwise, you'll either need a new one or...
Hi Tom,
Yes you can connect Besst with the Sann.
Although the display doesn't register because it's not a official Bafang display, the motor will. Mine came with the M560, which is can freely update the firmware between 500w - 750w.
Amending parameters remains the same (like M510, M820 etc)...
I see.
Its difficult to diagnose the motor without inspecting it in person, as I have the Besst Tool and my own account with Bafang. But I can aid you in identifying whether the motor is the problem.
So i'd like to ask you to perform a quick test.
Remove the battery from the bike. Then hold the...
@blacklab14, I'm not local to Surrey Hills. But if it helps, I'm near the Birmingham area. pm me with the details of what happened and I'll try and give you guidance on how to get the bike up and running👍🏿
@Mikefiver, same thing as above. I've become somewhat the Bafang guy in the UK. If your...
Usually, most simply replace the entire primary gear which contains the roller needles. Trying to pry the roller needle out is tricky without causing damage to the primary gear and the seal which prevents moisture penetrating the crank spindle.
I appreciate that you're trying to save dollars...
The one-way needle bearing for the M510/M600/M500/M560 are the same. GBK are reputable. So their parts for Bafang are genuine.
The one-way needle bearing on the left came from a stock M600. The one on the right is from GBK. They are both identical.
Its good practice to inspect the primary...
Just responded to his PM @Jackware .
I should be able to assist.
For everyone else who's in the UK, essentially you need to go through Shimano/Madison. However, be advised that Madison don't catalogue the Darfon batteries under the same reference as Darfon.
E.g. the E4C0C/E4C0G etc batteries...
FYI.
If you ever find yourself not being able to turn the E-Mythique on, try removing the battery. Then whilst holding the power on button on the remote, insert the battery.
Provided the display isn't the culprit, you should be able to force start the bike.
Just remember to bring the key in...
No.
The spark sound the owner heard when connecting the battery was what shorted out the motor.
If it was water ingress, the motor internally would show signs. Mechanically, it's fine. But the controller ignition board is fried.
