Just responded to his PM @Jackware .
I should be able to assist.
For everyone else who's in the UK, essentially you need to go through Shimano/Madison. However, be advised that Madison don't catalogue the Darfon batteries under the same reference as Darfon.
E.g. the E4C0C/E4C0G etc batteries...
FYI.
If you ever find yourself not being able to turn the E-Mythique on, try removing the battery. Then whilst holding the power on button on the remote, insert the battery.
Provided the display isn't the culprit, you should be able to force start the bike.
Just remember to bring the key in...
No.
The spark sound the owner heard when connecting the battery was what shorted out the motor.
If it was water ingress, the motor internally would show signs. Mechanically, it's fine. But the controller ignition board is fried.
I'm currently fixing the 13th E-Mythique for an owner who's travelled far to get this bike working.
Withn 30sec of using the Besst Tool, it explained that the motor's controller had failed.
Unfortunately, this person had already purchased a new display and battery totalling £400 (which is...
Technically, the downtube display and remote aren't Bafang displays. Unlike the dpc245.3 etc. It's Hybridizers.
I too made that assumption. The Besst Tool doesn't recognise it as a HMI.
In addition, the display can't connect to either Bafang Go or Bafang Go+. It only works on Hybridizer'...
Hybridizer Sann in either MX setup or 29er
Personally, I do prefer it as a full 29er. Note the none-driveside crank position per each image to guage bb height change👍🏿
I can't think of many parts to upgrade internally within the motor which improves performance. The grease would be the main thing to consider and where it's applied.
I only find myself servicing the motor, if it feels rough or it's not engaging as smoothly as it should. But theirs no set time...
The issue is the wiring loom which splits off for the coms protocol for the lower battery mount.
I have found that reducing any movement of that cable whilst riding hard, can mitigate the problem for turning the bike on.
The battery itself is fine, as well as the motor. It's simply that wiring...
Hallelujah!!!
The reach adjust headset fits in the Hybridizer Sann👍🏿
Massive shout out to Superstar Components. They always come in handy for amending geometry for frames I build.
As you can see, the lower headset cup is perfectly seated into the headtube.
Same thing for the upper headset...
Has anyone else thought about running the rear brake hose through the downtube, instead of the top tube?
My fear is that I'm going to hear cable rattle constantly. Not to mention, I'm a UK rider.
So my preference of routing the rear brake would suit going out of the right side of the headtube...
This is crazy!!!😮
Seriously, why haven't other brands opted to use a carbon shell for batteries.
1 kg more between a shimano 36v 630wh battery compared to the 48v 864wh for the Hybridizer Sann.
And 400g lighter than the 840wh Dengfu E10/E22 battery.
I'll keep an eye out for alloy framesets which use the Bosch Gen4.
Ironically, I'm starting to stumble upon framesets (alloy & carbon) which use the Shimano ep801👍🏿
I never tried a 29er 35mm internal rim on the E22 @twistgripper.
My E22 in the end was ran as a full 29er with a 30mm internal rim rear wheel with a DHR2 2.4
This is how much clearance I had.
Personally, I don't think a 29x2.6 rear tyre would offer sufficient clearance👍🏿
