I was more referring to the ride. Demo’d one back to back with Specilized SL and Bosch SX and the fazua had loads more drag. The Specilized in particular was fine to pedal with the motor off, but with fazua you could feel the drag. It also didn’t feel any more powerful than the worse-on-paper...
Trail wear is valid, there’s been a massive uptick in the numbers of overweight middle age guys with zero finesse smashing down the local trails since e-bikes became a thing, but no obvious uptick in overweight middle age guys digging trails.
Agree. I think they work really well out the box. When I’m riding park, I pump the air up a little for a bit more pop.
I’m tempted to try coil on mine, mostly ride tech and interested to see if it tracks the ground better, but really it’s just playing for the sake of it, rather than any need.
Give them a bleed. Shimano should be a lot more on/off than sram.
That pad wear shows the breaks not working properly. Sticky pistons, badly aligned or full of air. Eitherway, take it back to the shop you bought it from and tell them to fix it. Maybe it’s different in the USA, but over here...
‘23 Spur, stock GX build apart from a CCDBil and carbon bars. I might change the brakes, but otherwise it’s perfect, such fun to ride, responsive and agile.
I find the spur is a great compliment to the ksl, it’s different enough to justify owning. I don’t ride much, but everytime I do, I find it really rewarding
