I have just changed my shimano motor from an e7000 to the e 8000 but now my display screen is blank. Does anyone have any ideas as to why?

I have just changed my shimano motor from an e7000 to the e8000 but now my display screen is blank, although the bike runs. Just wondering if anyone may have any idea as to why this has happened or ideas on how to fix it? thanks.

First guess would be one of the cables not "clicked" all the way home.

Second guess would be one of the cables is damaged.

Third guess would be the e8000 needing a firmware update ... but would be weird if you've managed to find one which doesn't have your display supported by default.

Maybe need to update your motor change on etube, just an idea. can't hurt
