X01 xx1 cassettes

Those who got the x01 and xx1 cassettes,
I wonder How long does the color last?
Does it fade after a couple rides or How long does it take after it starts losing color.
I don't use any stronger degreaser.

I had 2 rainbow XX1 cassettes on my previous bike. After about 2 rides, the colour had vanished from the 7/8/9 cogs, as they were the ones I used most.

I now have a T-Type XX cassette, and am glad it won’t fade!

Afraid not - sorry.
Spent a whole heap of cash making all parts possible on my last bike oil slick / rainbow (pedals, titanium bolts, drivetrain, grip collars etc)… and now I hate it!!

This one has been on my wife's bike since 2018. Now she is a light duty trail rider so doesn't really wear out anything. The parts that look like wear, are just light reflecting. It looks 98% new in person.

I'd try and sell it to you if you were closer as I'm swapping her bike over to 11 speed.

Still figuring if I should make the swap.
Can currently buy an new xx1 rainbow for 235€
Xt is 105

The problem is it won't last long on an ebike that gets used in bad conditions.
I had an x01 cassette that lasted less than 1k miles because it was made from aluminium.
It's dependent on what you ride wether the teeth wear out before the coating. But if it's more for show then go for it

To be fair, this has probably done about 2000+ miles... but the 7/8/9 cogs looked like that after a couple of rides.

Probably gotta stay with shimano then. My cassette still looks good after 5400km
