Wobbly dropper post

Anyone else had this happen to their dropper post? After a light crash, it now wobbles horizontally between straight ahead and this angle. I've replaced it with a rigid post for now. I unscrewed it top and bottom to see if there was any obvious damage, but whatever it is must be inside.

Yes. There is a kit to replace the bushing, where the anti-rotate resides.

If I'm remembering correctly, it was a cheap part- like $14- and there's a youtube video showing how.

Thanks so much, you saved me! I followed that video and dismantled the post and strangely it does not mention the shims, but the post you linked does. There are two TINY SLIM bits of plastic at the top that stop the post rotating, and I just turned one around.

This is a cheap seatpost alright, since almost nothing had been shaved off in the low-speed crash and that broke it. I'll be on the lookout for a better one from now one.

Great news!
I personally like the Giant Dropper, but they rarely last longer than a year on my bikes. I keep a spare on the shelf and consider them consumable like the tires. Lol.

Me too. The annoyance for me is we cant buy these guides anywhere.
I have to order from USA and buy 10 at a time.

Would maybe be money better spent on rider training... LOL

I wonder if the plastic shims could be replaced with something fabricated from metal?

I’ve a Crank Brothers dropper on my Whyte E150 RS and they have sacrificial keys that are meant to wear or shear in the event of an “off” and are a serviceable item. I purchased a refresh kit from Bikeinn for a few quid that has all the replaceable bits need to overhaul the seatpost…….not a too difficult job, and you’d be surprised to see the amount of shite that gets into the internals after a few months of off road riding, strip and clean it twice a year.
