I'm replacing my rear wheel and my soon to be new hub is a Hope Pro 4 but with an XD Driver but my current cassette is a Sram PG-1230 which I know isn't XD driven. Ordered the wrong hub (kids, don't drink and online shop)

My question is: Can I (or should I) remove the XD driver from my new wheel and slot in my cassette/freehub into the new hub?

If not, I do have a GX 11sp cassette which I can cannibalize off of my normal bike but not sure if I want to run the softer alloy GX and have to faff with swapping the derailers, shifters/cabling.
