when are the 2021 e-escarpe/e-sommets released?

I've just decided to switch to an e-bike. been looking at al the competition over the last week, and the e-Escarpe VRS seems to be winning, but I won't be buying one till January at the earliest so it seems sense to wait for the 2021 models, in the hope that they will be fitted with the newer EP8 motors.
they may even find a way of getting a bottle mount on there...

anybody know when they are expected to announce details?

CRC have them down to £3000 for the E-escarpe VR, and £3400 for the VRS now. thats cheaper than last week by £200 i think

can anybody remember when the 2020 models were announced?

Assuming they're sticking with Shimano, I wouldn't be surprised if they are waiting for the EP8 thing to blow over. Why release a bike that you can't sell?

I think we will see some fairly major changes for 2021 - there are various adverts partly revealing the new 2021 Sommet and Escarpe, and you can see a pretty different frame from them, e.g a straight top tube, so would expect the E versions to follow suit

I think a lot of bike manufacturers are all in the same boat, they release the bikes, but can only supply about 1/4 of demand and then there's a lead time of 3 months!
other brands like commencal, focus, orange merida etc are all using shimano EP8 and they have announced the ranges at least

New regular ones just launched, I would expect emts's to follow the same design. Gone Carbon main frame for 2021, wonder if the emtb's will follow suit?

Longer dropper insertion is a much needed improvement.

But the pricing is crazy value, starting at 2k

Sommets have always been amazing value and pretty great riding bikes (even the super short ones from a few years back). add in the crazy discounts CRC/Wiggle always slap on them if there are any left it'd almost be rude not to buy one if you fancy adding a 170mm Enduro bike to your collection..
The 2021 carbon Sommet?Escarpe share a shit load of design ideas with the NP Mega/Neutron. Well... not just ideas. Actual parts. not a bad thing at all. But not surprising either given who owns both companies ;)

Probably because Nukeproof and Vitus are two different companies.

NP may well have a few new bikes imminent ;)

Yeah, but not really though hey... Both CRC/Wiggle no?

Oooooh, now that could get me doing spendy spendy!!! And presumably they can't all be sold out already if no one knows they exist...!! Just bought the little one a Cub Scout 26 and it's a brilliant little bike. ?

CRC/wiggle group owns quite a few more brands than Vitus/NP

and you do realise plenty other companies/groups own more than one bike brand too?

Whilst not the bang for your buck of the original, the VRX is still very good value for the spec in the current marketplace, cant think of much else you can buy at just over 5k which matches it.

Now a mullet too

True, I'm probably looking at it through poo tinted goggles as currently experienced their customer service nonsense. I didn't actually spot that its a mullet - certainly a good thing. External 8010 battery, 1/2kg lighter than before with tidy cable routing and mullet would have been the perfect combo IMHO but I know that's flying against the fashion.

Its very competitive in the current marketplace, but the rush to bigger batteries and integration has seen pretty much all full power EMTB's that dont cost silly money go up in weight.

So comparing it to my current bike its not offering much except more range, but at the expense of more weight

the lowest spec one has a e7000 motor.

I was kinda hoping for the carbon front triangle and fox forks, but seriously intrested in this.

I'm guessing out of stock because sales haven't gone live yet I wonder what the wait times will be like?
