Rail (625Wh) Whats up with the rail integrated headset?

Started to get the creaks. Removed the headset for a regrease.

Are no bearingcups that can be replaced or am I looking at it the wrong way?

The upper bearing cup seems to be a part of the frame with paint and all..

The bearings are complete sealed races
Why the need for separate bearing cups
They seat in the frame by hand like many other bikes with zero stack headstocks
Ive never had any troubles with any bike with this idea .

Ok thanks. Thats a new one for me.
I was known as the head set destroyer (not really) when younger so I got quite nervous when I saw that the frame is one headset cup only and then has to been thrown away.

Correct,
No press-in bearing cups on my Rail 7 gen 2.
No press-in bearing cups on my Fuel EX 8 gen 5.
HOWEVER, yes, there is a lower press-in cup on my Fuel EX8 gen 6! Interestingly the top cup pushes in with fingers.

BTW... my FEX8g6 had a horrid creak noise from day 1. Finally traced it to: no grease at the interface between frame head tube and press in bearing cup.

Good question... The online service manual from the Trek site shows that it is to have grease.
In the pic, the press-in cup is #5, and it shows to apply grease.

Now a totally unrelated thing is... that top bearing cup, #4 is not round. It is oval, and is NOT press fit. The one that came in my bike is labeled 0°. Since the headset is called "Adjustable", I assume you can get a 1° cup, and install it one way and kick the rake out 1°, or install it the opposite and pull the rake in 1°. Kindof a guess on my part.
