a few months back a the start of my operation I researched to death all EMTBs. narrowed it down to Vitus e sommet, radon render 9, trek rail 9, scott genius 910, orbea wild FS H/M10 in that order. now it seems most of thoes are not available and even then the price seems to have jumped up £300..
ideally i'd like to be back mountain biking by april, what are my options? size XL btw

I narrowed it down to the 2021 Merida e160 , Orbea Wild FS H10 , Whyte e160rs , commencal (July delivery), I've settled for the Orbea and put a deposit down so hopefully get it in march, I could of had the bike this week but it's red and I don't like red , I've just looked at XL bikes and there's not a lot around tbh unless you want to wait months, good luck finding your desired bike ?

Yeah looked at that one too , they will sell you bike (apparently due end of march) but you are liable for import taxes etc I believe which with shipping add another £200 or so on top of purchase price

Import duty to the UK

Hi looking at the Torque ON at 5,799.00. looks like the vat is included in the price but will I be subject to import duty being in the UK? Propain Ekano are estimating an addition 14% on their bikes, which would make this 6.5k + and that excluding the shipping at 40 and the additional battery...

They are not cheap but you can get hold of an Orange - cracking bikes, looks a lot better in the flesh than in pics.

they do indeed, Just had a look at the Merida E-160 8000 it looks equally as good as the canyon. need to do some research into the fork, Marzocchi Z1. does that compare to a fox 36 GRIP?

wow that is a really affordable bike considering what you get for the engine and components for the money. at least it bends in all my criteria I am looking for for a new e-bike.
have a friend who is looking for a new e-mtb, it says that they will be released at the end of March so the question is then how long does it take before you get the bike? . he would rather have a bike until early summer

well damn. I've spent yesterday doing more research and have come to the conclusion that the radon render 9 is the best bike, and it's cheaper. but unfortunately still un available
closely followed by the vitus, the spec on that is even better but I think it's a just a bit beefier than I really need.
and now, the only "available" bike that comes close is the merida, which is £1500 more, and has worse components....

I wrote to them when they stopped supplying to the UK. The reply is here somewhere on the forum ... But they basically said they hoped this would be temporary and would re-commence once things were clear and they were able to do so. Keep in mind they have to be able to deal effectively with returns and such like too.

I guess you could get one shipped to the EU and when things have calmed down a bit, go and collect it. But they might be delivering to the UK by then - if that was the case, you could change your delivery from EU to UK before it's dispatched ?

where are you getting your Orbea from? I've just been having a look at them again, very tempted, seems to say mid march for more stock so that looks promising , there is a deal on from surge bikes where you get £590 free accessories, but the bike is another £200 to buy. Surge bikes

I've pre ordered mine from MTB Monster it's due march time , I wanted a black one don't like red?

I did have a look at Surge bikes they said they won't get the Wild FS H10 (£5899 model) again this year but the M20 model will be in May June time , I'm not bothered about a carbon frame tbh so went with alloy ?

I've seen a few for sale on websites saying in stock but when you call / email they actually don't have it or its sold quite frustrating tbh

The Merida e160 8000 on Surge bikes won't be available until end of may in M & L , the surge boost scheme seems great but I don't want to wait months for my bike ?

No, I think they where sub 3K new. The second hand bike prices have gone up due to the market at the moment.
