What should I upgrade first?

Consider the tyres. Your Rekons are a good tyre with low rolling resistance, great for tarmac and hardpack, but they lack grip when it's damp, muddy or slippy in general. Once you start considering tyres, the world becomes a very confusing place with massive choice. Take advice from people that ride where you do.

You're correct they are not great in sketch areas. I'll ask around on local trail forums. I still want lower rolling resistance (I ride with some non-mtb at times).

Bought the post today. Any recommendations on the fork? What about the rear suspension?
Leave the back end as it is unless you're hitting the trails pretty hard, that shock actually performs better then the RT and RCT3 versions. A rockshox revelation forkwould suit the bike nicely, it's relatively cheap to purchase and would make a noticeable improvement over what you have.

You can also upgrade the damper to a charger 2.1 in the future if you feel the need.

Great bike, congratulations! Dropper post and fork would be my choices.
Once the tires are worn out you will need new ones anyway...
