What sealant for E bike

Also a fan of oko, just the standard stuff that's water based and doesn't cause any problems.
About £15 for 1.25l and you water it down by around 25% so it lasts ages.

I've just used the same on my new Amflow.
Oko standard 70:30 water.
Apparently it doesn't need periodic top ups?
Got fed up of the mess Muc-off leaves behind.

It does leak out of the sidewalls and will need topping up.
I normally stick 200 ml in to start with and when I have to start putting some air in after the bikes been stood a week I will put another 100 ml in through a syringe.
What it doesn't do is ball up in the tyre and make a mess everywhere

The bright blue Bontrager stuff seems decent. I've only just switched to a tubeless bike in the last few months. Was checking it over after a ride the other week found a huge thorne in the back. So as I was at home, it felt like the perfect place to "practice having a puncture" - so to speak, so I yanked the thorne out. Sure enough air started coming out, so I rotated the wheel to the bottom, waited about ten seconds and bobs your uncle. Sealed up fine and been fine since.

The trick is not to pull any thorns out as they are sealing the hole.
On one of my bikes there's about 30 damp patches around the tyre which are thorns that I have left alone.

We have many Hawthorn trees and bushes on our rides. The thorns on trimmed and dropped foliage pierces tyres and if we catch any clothing going past Hawthorns it's guaranteed to rip holes in gloves and clothing. Worst after local trails and bridleways have been trimmed back.

300ml of sealant in total? That's seems excessive, 70-100ml is plenty surely?

200 in a 29" and another 100 in about 6 months time when the tyres start loosing pressure.
It's cheap so no need to skimp on it.

Yeah but you have 300ml sealant per tire instead of 70ml, so that`s almost half litre extra stuff on two wheels….

And the added weight. I'm surprised it even works as if the tyres punctured it'll be too wet to seal quickly.

Could be cos you have half a kilo of sealant sloshing about in each tyre?

Recommended for 29 x 2.4/2.6 is ~90/95ml from what I've found.

300ml is basically like a can of cokes worth sloshing around

Also, losing air after a week sat still? That would soon start to annoy me

Loosing air in 6 months time is what I said. That's when I top up the fluid!.

Why? Just pump up the tyre. Your using OKO it doesn't dry out so why do you keep putting it in? If you're tyre walls are porous then either a) buy new tyres cos they're shagged....their is no option b)

And stop watering it down. Pointless.
