I've owned a Levo 2020 HT for 3 weeks now and wow what a machine , love it, especially in combination with Blevo app which is an absolute game changer! But what is this sorcery that makes me want to go out on these dark, cold rainy nights?the worse the weather the better?‍♂️

What did you ride before the Levo?

It is weird isn't it ! No wonder, on average, e-bikes get hammered more ! :) They'll probably be a medical term for it at some point ? Evelola ? A weird unexplained drawing which takes you beyond what the man can and should do, if he's evenly remotely sane .. (Which, we're obviously not as we decided it was fine to spend the same amount of money on a push bike with a £100 power steering motor and a £200 pf power tool battery's as you could pay for a reasonable second hand car)

If my ebike was indestructible I’m not sure I’d be so satisfied with it. The fact that it’s imperfect and could fall apart at any moment keeps me interested in an odd sort of way ?

I think emtbs can be addictive for 2 reasons. Firstly assuming you love the whole mtb experience, you can do it without pain. Now I know some get their kicks by challenging their fitness and stamina but I prefer to get out in the countryside and enjoy the ride without pain. Secondly, there is an engine and that transforms the bike from being a passive mechanical device into one with character and feedback. Just like in a car the engine speaks to you and you have to listen to get the best from it. Gearing cadence and braking become integrated with the motor. In short...it is alive.

That’s a good way of putting it. I agree it does feel alive and also needs feeding upon return. Just like a loyal dog, it protects me (in this case from steep hills)
I never really bonded with my Carrera Vulcan. Relationships are a two way thing and it was always me putting in the effort with that one ?

I think it was Winston Churchill who once said..
“In turbo mode, ebikes look down on us
In off mode they look up to us
But in eco mode they treat us as their equals”

Or maybe I’m confusing this with dogs, cats and pigs? ?
