So what really changes with the flip chip in the low position? How much lower is the bike? how much more standover room is there? Alot more pedalstrikes?
High to low position amounts to 5cm difference in BBC height. The bike comes set up on low position as standard. The lower position also slackens the hta by 0.5°So what really changes with the flip chip in the low position? How much lower is the bike? how much more standover room is there? I think you mean drops the BB height by 6mm.High to low position amounts to 5cm difference in BBC height. The bike comes set up on low position as standard. The lower position also slackens the hta by 0.5°

Yep....darned autocorrect.I think you mean drops the BB height by 6mm.
to OP: I wouldnt ride it any other way personally but we all ride differently on different trails.. yes I do get pedal strikes but I live with it for the benefit of the slacker head angle.. just try it.
...but also warning the OP that unless he has already changed it the flip chip is probably already in the low position because that is how they are shipped as standard.Yep....darned autocorrect.
