What adhesive is used for rubber chain guards?

Ya, I also agree with the two sided tape solution. If you have ever had to replace a piece of molding on a car . . . they are all stuck on with two sided tape, so they can removed without taking sections of the paint with it. I'd use "automotive grade" two sided tape from Amazon or a local auto paint supply shop.

Mine came away last week & ended up in the chainring. I used ordinary contact adhesive to stick it back on but as with any adhesive, both surfaces need to be clean. Skip that & you're wasting your time.

my Bosch badge fell off the motor casing and i stuck it back on with scotch permanent double side tape. it has done the job perfectly and i would imagine would be great for that rubber chain guard thingy
